'15 IN LB Darrin Kirkland Jr (UT Commit 12/15/14)

Did he actually say he was sticking with TT, because I took him shutting down his recruitment AFTER VISITING TN, as he is decided to flip to Tn or deciding between TT and Tn?

That's what I thought at first but apparently he's sticking with Tech

He really wasn't impressed with us IMO. :ermm:

My inside source told me to quit calling...

Turns out it was not my inside source but rather my ex girlfriend.

But before she hung up on me I did ask her about Kirkland. She said, and I quote, "I'm calling the police if you call again." which I took to mean that we are decent shape with Kirkland.

Really would like to get this kid over Ole Miss. They seem to be a thorn in our recruiting side these days.

Lot of Texas kids grow up with designs to go there due to it's large alumni base...this holds true particularly in rural areas.

He thought heaven was Lubbock, Texas in his rear view mirror, but it turned out that heaven was Lubbock, Texas in his jeans (if you get that reference, you really love old country...and like me, have no idea how to interpret tweets).

Heaven was Lubbock, Texas in his jeans? I don't know what song you're referencing, but that doesn't sound like you have it right. Lol.

The actual lyric is "you can bury me in Lubbock, Texas in my jeans." But the aforementioned was easier. Reference missed the mark. Noted and back to my typical status as a ghost on this board.

Oh, haha! That makes much more sense. Didn't mean to come off as a jerk, that just sounded weird. :hi:

The only place in CFB worse than Lubbock is Starkville. Nothing there but the school and nothing within hundreds of miles to do anything. Sure they both have Dollar General, Freds, a grocery store and a couple of dives. Lubbock adds a few Mexican restaurants. That's about it in both places.

Why do we think we have a chance with him, all the crystal balls are going to ol miss.

Because of his recent interest in us and the fact he reach out to us about seeing if there was room for him and he was inquiring about a visit to see if he could visit here
