Interesting hypothetical question. Would we rather him commit this weekend or at the Army game for exposure? I say this weekend, only because I prefer closure.
sooner is always better.... wrap it up and focus on next years class.
but the exposure is not bad by any means on the all-star weekend and I think it's a pretty cool experience for the kids making their announcement on national television
What's to say he doesn't go ahead and commit to the coaches this weekend, but say he wants to be able to announce during the All-Star game? Kids have now been watching these recruits commit during these games for years now. Some have dreamed for several years about being able to do that. Not that many get that opportunity each year. Let him do it and have his moment. He's earned it. I'll just be glad to see a UT hat on the table for a change. Haven't had that happen much in the past few years.
We might be like look, we didn't have a spot before because we had a committed MLB, if we get another one, we may not have a spot again, or YOU could be that guy. How bad you wanna be a Vol?
Yeah, I'd think Kirkland would see what just happened to Cherry and not make the same mistake. The difference being of course that if he has not announced for UT, him taking other visits does not look the same. Hopefully we hear he has cancelled the USC & TX trips.
It's been said multiple times now...Cam is a true shutdown CB. He shuts down one side of the field every game. Ramsey played FS last year and is at NB this year. He gets moved around a lot and has more of an opportunity to "take over games" and "singlehandedly beat teams." Comparing a true CB's ability to take over a game with a roving FS/NB doing the same just isn't much of a comparison. No orange tinted glasses needed to see that. Replace Cam with any other top-CB in the country and the facts remain the same. Cam does his job and he does it at an elite level. All you can ask for of a CB is handle business on his side and limit an offense's options. That's exactly what Mr. Sutton does game in and game out.
Don't explain to them. Go check the amount of screens coming 23 way. Hell go check the amount of plays period. Teams aren't coming after him period. After the first 3 games WR screens have disappeared from the gameplan for opposing teams.

If he calls off other OVs I think we'll have our answer. What's to say he doesn't go ahead and commit to the coaches this weekend, but say he wants to be able to announce during the All-Star game?
