'15 GA WR Preston Williams (UT Signee 2/4/15)

Is it just me that wants PW to heal up 100%? I know hes a beast but with Von returning I'd rather have him heal.

I don't think they'll let him go full tilt until a doctor says he is 100%. That being said, I wouldn't mind him sitting til like week 4 and then having a crazy coming out party against Florida. 150 yards and 2 TDs would be a nice start to his UT career...

That's more of a prediction on performance...not exactly INSIDE INFORMATION.

Oh I never argued his inside info. Just literally saying that is the only time (across any example including opinions on players) that I have seen him be wrong. Even at that he wasn't that wrong with Marlin. Still played 4 years and produced for us at the RB position.

If our WRs can stay relatively healthy this season, and Malone has the breakout season I expect him to, then I think PW can RS and be ready for 2016 when we will really need his talents. If healthy we have enough talent right now to potentially have the best WR group in the SEC even without PW.

if he isn't making cuts yet, thats not a good sign. it was three months for me between getting cleared for making cuts and when I got cleared to participate in sport activities again. just saying, don't burn me at the stake.

This is an interesting topic:

It is my understanding that PW has not been cleared to cut.

IMO there are three schools of thought.

The first being redshirt him and let him fully heal. That way he will be able to contribute at 100% for his first year. Who is to say he won't be 100% by week 4-5? The only way I see this being a viable option is if PW is not 100% by week 7-8.

The second being hold him out until he is 100% for this season. This seems to make the most sense to me. It appears that PW has the talent to go pro following year 3. Why not get the most out of what you have while you have it? It could take PW a couple of games to get acclimated to playing at the SEC level. I would rather have those couple of games at the end of this year, not at the beginning of next year (the year we win the Natty). The bad news is we are 2 weeks away from the start of the season and he has not been cleared to make cuts. It could be later on in the season when he is at 100%.

The third would be to play him week 1 this year and risk further injury if he is not 100%. Granted players get injured every week at 100% health. The risk, however, is muc greater if PW is only 60% or even 80%. PW may be 100% for week 1, but in my opinion that is unlikely.

We have the depth to rest PW until is fully ready. We are not desperate at the WR position this year and should not risk further injury. However, redshirt PW and you possibly get only 2 years out of him.

It may have physically took place at the university, but I doubt the ACT group that administers and grades the exam expedites their grading process to have it back the very same day. I would imagine a lot of their grading process is automated. So it would probably require one of ACTs IT guys to manually override their software program to get one score back faster than the 7-10 days they request students to wait for. That means increased salary and wages expenses for a nonprofit group and that's just not going to happen.

Because this was a special testing date it's very hard to know how it was graded.

Perhaps it was given on campus and graded by our campus officials and then send off to the official act testing center for them to certify the official score.

That would be a way Larry/hubbs/scout and our "insiders" are both correct.

We will likely never know but the process has drug on long enough.

This has also been reported on the Scout site by Danny Parker and several others. I do not doubt that this information is absolutely true.

Is it as ridiculous to think they have the scores but will not report on it because he has not been cleared? It's been 10 days. They have the score. He just hasn't been cleared, imo

It's out of monitoring this site and making sure the trash stays out of it....

I have all day and night where my maturity level is monitored at work and at home. I definitely don't need that here.

So, you're the VN hall monitor who gets to be immature and unmonitored and banish whoever you like to the FF?

I doubt the ACT group would allow that. They are set up to be an unbiased 3rd party that administers standardized tests. But I do agree, the results should be in.

Nope didn't say that. But good job taking my statement out of context. Also way to randomly jump into a conversation like you did in another thread when you called out someone for jumping into a conversation.

On a side note, I did notice that you claim you are some sort of judge out of Canada. I'm just glad we don't have a dishonest person like yourself that takes people's words out of context making judicial rulings here in the United States. May explain why you are bitter though.

I agree seems they wouldn't allow the university to give the test without an official act administrator present but I am sure there are many of those all over knoxville that normally give them on national testing dates. My guess is he took it in knoxville

I am almost positive it has to be given by the ACT group. My wife used to help give it at the high school where she works and I was paid to help proctor the exam. These were regularly scheduled tests. I am pretty sure that UT probably has people who have been contracted with or paid by ACT to administer the testing, I just have no idea how it works if it is not a regularly scheduled test.

The university administers the residual act all the time to students with results being same day. That's where it gets confusing to me

He doesn't want to redshirt... Has been vocal about that. How the coaches manage that will be a challenge.

Dudu's information is not even insider information. At best its Georgia high school coaching gossip.

I don't understand how a HS coach in another state knows about the test scores of a TN player. This coach has no connection to PW either. Did the coach break into the ACT testing center? Did he come up to administer the test? That is why I don't believe the new trolls. At least make the farce believable.

I think I'll jump into any conversation I like whenever I like, Mr. Hall Monitor.

If he redshirted it wouldn't be by staff choice. It would have been medical. The staff wants him to play asap if they can get him cleared and healthy enough to do what a WR needs to do
