'15 GA WR Preston Williams (UT Signee 2/4/15)

I'll also add that it took Hunter 2 years to fully recover from his ACL injury. Everyone is different, but an ACL injury to a WR isn't something to take lightly.

Agreed, ACL injuries to WRs are far worse than ACL injuries to teachers, accountants, or scientists. This NEEDS to be taken seriously.

As of late, VolNation has turned into let's see how big a smart@@@ we all can be. Some people brush off ACL injuries these days as nothing serious. This website is getting to the point that anything said has to be followed with some douchebag trying to be cute.

There are issues with him rushing back. One, he could risk getting injured in the future by not taking the time to fully heal. Second, if he isn't willing to fully recover and take a RS if that's what our staff wants, then we risk putting all our eggs in one basket with a guy that might not take the time to heal all the way. P. Will is our main receiving target this year. That means if he goes down we have an entire class without a #1 WR. Yea, Perry/Bruce/etc can play in the slot, and those guys are playmakers we do need don't get me wrong, but what we really need is a 6'2"-6'4" WR every year. When you go 3-4 wide all the time, and play 8-9 WRs a game, it's important to always recruit atleast one great WR prospect every year that's not specifically a slot WR. 2013 we got North. 2014 we got Malone. 2015 we have P.Will.

Yes the health risks are well documented BUT it sounds like he wants to prove 'em wrong more than anything. That's all. Honestly you can't blame him - its just a mentality to get back on the field ASAP - no one knows how he will bounce back from this - could be 6 months could be a year and 6 months.

Good luck to P-Dub, hope his rehab process goes efficiently and smoothly. Can't wait to see him in orange he is going to be a special player.

Oh yea. I just hope he does what's best for himself long term. He's going to be special. Really looking forward to him getting here and playing.

Wasn't trying to be a d@@@ man, just saying as of late this board has got out of control. The way you worded that just made it sound like you were trying to be funny, and I'm clearly aware that everyone here knows ACL injuries are bad. Just want the best for our players. :hi: Sorry for misinterpreting what you were saying.

This will all blow over, He's only gonna be here 3 years anyway. If he wants to try to get healed up and play the second half of the season then let him do it. If he's not ready to go after half way through the season, then talk about a redshirt.

I said he's gonna only be here 3 years. But he owns his own business so he may want to finish his degree, but that also might be a reason he's ok with leaving early.

I swear, there are some folks that post that end up bringing the collectives IQ down. I literally become stupid by reading the drivel posted.

I say if he dont want to do what the coaches want maybe better to cut him lose. Its a team game and they are the coaches after all. We dont need anymore divas

I'm sure PW just wants to play ball. Since this injury just happened last week, he may still be in denial of how long the rehab will take. If he gets well enough to contribute next fall, I guarantee CBJ and his staff will play him since he can be an impact player. However, I assume they will do what is best for his career over the long term.

Dude is clearly going through a rough time right now. Acl and what appears to be issues with his gf on Twitter by looking at his and her tweets.

How about giving the kid a break before screaming drama blah blah.

K-Mac and Preston are the two most impactful commits we have...so anyone talking trash about Williams needs to stick a sock in it! Recruits read these threads.

Don't mess with this gravy train
. Suck it up and move on.

He is drama. That was proven a looooong time ago. It's expected with a WR though. There was a study that since WRs are alone on an island, they tend to act like premadonnas.

I'd take drama over criminal.

Wow. This is one of the stupidist, most non-informed posts ever.

The amount of conclusions that you jump to is amazing.

You don't know?
Madonna was the Crown Princess of the Kingdom of Scotland from 1413 to 1437. She was known as the Warrior Princess and for her savage tactics in battle and as being ruthless and bloodthirsty.
To answer your question, pre-Madonna would be any time before the year 1413.

Huh. Well you learn something new every day. :hi:
