Swinney had a great visit, was trying to recruit Chris Williams to UT the whole time he was around. I really.. REALLY like our chances.

“It’s showing that they’re changing,” Swinney said. “They’re trying to get people in here to win championships. They’re trying to create a dynasty.”

“Tennessee’s just a beautiful campus,” he said. “Knoxville’s a great place — great tradition, everything. There’s a family vibe here. That sticks out to me.”

“It’s like an army,” Swinney said of the Tennessee fan base. “They’re coming after me strong every day with something else. It’s pretty cool. I like the fans.”

“What really makes Tennessee stand out more so than some of the others schools is the family vibe you get when you’re here,” Swinney told InsideTennessee. “The coaches and fans have been awesome to me.”

“It’s like an Army,” Swinney said. “They are coming after me strong and never letting up. Everyday I get a tweet from some fan saying how much they’d like to see me here and it’s all pretty humbling. They have a lot of passion and I like that.”

“First off I want to say all the coaches are really good people,” he said. “They have really reached out to me for quite a while now. I probably talk to Coach G two times a week. He really wants me here and I think it would be a good place to be.”

“I think of myself as a very versatile back,” he told IT. “I can run you over, run around you, and jump over you. One area I’m still working on is to improve my quickness on the field. I think I can run the 40-yard dash in 4.3 seconds at my best.”

Yes, he's an Aussie and can BOOT that ball with the best of them. We need punts like the Colquitts of old.. punts that boom out of the stadium and arch over the moon.

That being said, we're in good shape with Swinney. He was with Chris Williams for a while during his visit and loved the campus, loved everything about it. He was actually one of the guys trying to recruit Chris here FOR UT. I love the fact we're in so early on a lot of this talent. It will pay off huge in the end. :peace2:

"This summer Swinney camped at Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina. The Bulldogs and Volunteers have offered."

"I really liked the Tennessee one a lot," he said. "I went up there twice this summer. The first time was just for the camp and I toured around. Then a couple of weeks back I went back up again for Foundation Day. I had a nice time. I got to see some of the players and talked to them a little bit. I talked to coach [Robert] Gillespie a lot."

"Swinney said it's too early for him to talk about favorites but he said he's not limiting his focus to SEC schools, even though that's where his focus has been in the summer and will be in the fall. He plans to attend games at Ole Miss, Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee this summer. He added that he's open to a trip to Chapel Hill if the coaches push for it."

"Last fall as a sophomore Swinney rushed for 1,420 yards and 23 touchdowns."

Nice numbers for a soph, if he really goes off this year his stock could really blow up
