“I almost came to tears because that was my first offer. It put a big smile on my mom’s face, and she almost came to tears, too,” said Swinney, who’s expected to be one of the top prospects from Georgia in the 2015 class.

“I didn’t think it was going to be this soon. I maybe thought, maybe, early summer it might have came, but I didn’t think it was going to be this soon.”

“Great campus, great fans,” he said of Tennessee. “I signed a lot of autographs and stuff. Their facility was amazing — one of the best ones I’ve seen.

“I was up there with my mom. I watched the (spring) game. Then, like, after the game, we went to see the facilities. We stayed and talked to a couple of the players, talked to (running backs) coach (Robert) Gillespie. My favorite part was signing autographs. I’d never signed an autograph before. And the fans knew me. I was surprised by that.”

“(Jones) seems like a great guy, and he’s a good coach. He was just telling me how I’d fit into their offense and everything,” Swinney said. “I saw it that day. They run the ball a lot. That’s what I really like about it. They’re versatile. They move the running backs everywhere. They give it to them out of the backfield, go under center, and that’s what I really like about them.”

Gillespie made a big first impression on Swinney.

“I love (Gillespie). Good coach,” Swinney said. “Talked to (Tennessee rising senior running back) Rajion Neal, because he went to my school, and I grew up with Rajion. He was saying that Coach Gillespie’s a good coach, and from what I can see, he’s a pretty cool guy.”

“I really didn’t hear anything from Tennessee before they offered. That was a surprise for me,” Swinney said. “Demarre, we’ve just basically talked about Tennessee. We were like, it’s a good school. We’re both really interested in that school.”

“I don’t know when (Tennessee’s) camp is, but they said we’ll talk about it. I’ve got to call Coach Gillespie,” he said. “There’s a lot of places I want to get to. I really want to go to Clemson. I want to visit there. That’s one of the main places, but I will be visiting a lot of places. I just don’t have down where I want to go now.”

He also said that he was a big UGA fan growing up, and he's been waiting on an offer from them. He said that offer would be "pretty tough to pass-up." He also spoke briefly about the Vandy offer (just said that Franklin was going to come see him).

His quotes about Demarre and then following it uo with wanting to see Clemson makes me feel like that's an indicator of where Demarre is leaning

You're right on Demarre. With Swinney, I think UGA will be the team to beat if they offer. The way they are reeling in RBs right now is pretty sick.

“Speed and tempo is a big part of the game for me,” Swinney told InsideTennessee. “I saw a lot of stuff I liked. I was watching the play real close. The tempo was awesome.”

“I really didn’t come in thinking about the atmosphere too much,” Swinney said. “I didn’t think it would be that important. But the atmosphere was great. The fans were great. It was a great game and there were a lot of people. I was really surprised by that. I mean, definitely wasn’t expecting that many people.”

Swinney said he felt “at home” during his time on Rocky Top, naming Tennessee one of his top three schools at the moment.**

“I really enjoyed my time (at Tennessee),” Swinney said. “Georgia, Auburn and Tennessee — that’s my top right there. (Tennessee) felt like home. They treat you right here. It’s awesome.”

After beginning last season at linebacker, Swinney was moved to the backfield and enjoyed a breakout season. He racked up more than 1,300 yards and 23 touchdowns.Swinney said his current weight is 180 pounds, adding that he wants to continue to add muscle. The 5-foot-10 back said his most recent 40-yard dash clocked at 4.5 seconds.

Now if he would just stop bouncing outside or not get tackled by the wind, I'm really hoping he has a great year. Hopefully CRG will finally make him understand running between the tackles.

Yeah, Neal needs to learn how to change direction, break tackles, and get some wiggle. He has all the physical tools you could want but he doesn't posses any running back skills.

It's early, but the Vols are looking good.

"They were the first to offer and I fell in love with them," Swinney said.

Swinney already has visited Tennessee.

"There was 61,000 at the spring game," Swinney said. "So I couldn't imagine a real game."

Bingo. The dead give away? The fact that they claim 3 guys have ran sub 4.30 from the same high school in a very relative short amount of time. The chances of that legitimately happening anywhere outside of Jamacia is about 1 in 8 million. Also, Rajion Neal is on that list, and well that just proves it even further.

Rajion is one of the fastest if not the fastest player on the team. No he's not 4.29 fast but the dude can fly. Problem is there are alot of SEC players that can fly.
