“(Vols offensive line) coach (Don) Mahoney stays in contact with me a lot[.] “He’s a really good guy. I mean, I love the campus up there. I love the school. I didn’t go up with my parents the first time, and I wanted them to be able to experience the atmosphere up there, so the second time I went up, I brought my dad. And it turned out the Vanderbilt game was a great game. I got to see two great games up there.”

“We’ll talk, and he’ll say he’s been thinking about me and they want to get me back up on campus. He wants to know how my family doing, how I’m doing. He’s just keeping in touch,” said Polino, who added that “everybody’s recruiting me for guard. When I went up there for the first time — the South Carolina game — I got called into coach (Butch) Jones’ office. He was just telling me how excited they were about me coming to visit and stuff.”

“My offensive line coach when I was younger was a Tennessee tight end back in the day, David Horne,” Polino said. “He always talked to me about Tennessee, and when I finally got the chance to go up there, I got to see what he was always talking about — just the people, the atmosphere. The Vol Nation is ridiculous.”

Must be a smart kid, as well. Duke seems really interested. Also, said Georgia along with the Vols. He and his Dad seemed to be in awe of our game day atmosphere. That has to be good, along with being coached by former Vol TE David Horne when he was younger. Horne told him a lot of great stories about his Tennessee days. Go David Horne!
