Sure, but it would be a couple years at least until those players started to make a significant impact. In that dead period, GT's looking at 2-4 win seasons. Their talent level is really low.
So say they switch schemes and see some immediate recruiting benefits. Then they go 3-9 or something and kill whatever recruiting momentum they may have had. They will have a tough time stacking good classes together to take the next step in the short term imo.
You never know though. If you look at their schedule, other than the Florida schools, Clemson, and Ga, they aren't playing world beaters in the rest of the acc. Duke is playing well, VT is slipping, nobody else really scares you all that much. A good coach with a pedigree for recruiting could be dangerous.
