I'll go ahead and say on record that if he keeps his nose clean and all that, that Gibson will atleast get a team to the national championship game.

They just got one of the top QB's in last yrs class not to mention the FR that was neck and neck with Marshall coming out of fall practice. I would be surprised if they signed 2 top level guys but you never know. Dont know much about the QB they have committed now.

Forgot about Jeremy Johnson. He may beat Marshall out this year.

Wow. This kid is still in HS and he's already winning the starting job at any school of his choice, day 1. Then he's AT LEAST getting them to a national championship game. Seriously?

Good thing guys who are really good in high school are always awesome in college. Nobody ever has trouble adjusting to life in college, or struggles with classes, or gets in trouble. That's why is always so easy to predict who's going to be good year in and year out. Simple stuff, really.

Lol 5 star QBs flame out all the time, especially DT guys... Some funny stuff in here

Actually I think DT guys bust out at a lower rate than PS. Speed doesn't go away and it takes away some of the difficulty reading D's early on.

HS DT QBs can also make hs DEs look like pee wee football players and then when they get in college they get their collar bones broken trying the same stuff

The same could be said for just about any position except RB. That's why coaches prefer to redshirt. For every DT qb that you can name that struggled as a freshman, I can name a pro style that did too.

Marshall is a Senior next year. Jeremy Johnson is in line to start as a Junior with two years as "the guy". He's not transferring.

Maybe. But to be "the guy" he's gonna have to beat out White, and Queen at the very least. I like his game a lot, but it's no guarantee.

Lol idk but if he does I wanna be able to say I called it way back when..

He'll have way more experience than either of those two. Queen would be a true freshman: he's not beating out Jeremy Johnson. White would be a redshirt freshman: he's unlikely to beat out Jeremy Johnson who will have had 2 years in the system and actual game experience.

Obviously nothing is set in stone; but with Johnson's size, athleticism, talent plus the experience advantage he will have over those two it is unlikely that he wont be the next starter.

Gibson was moved to WR early at Pylon 7 on 7 after a rough start. George Campbell had a poor showing as well.

ssshhhh don't tell the people in this thread that say Gibson will win the national championship after starting as a freshman at any school he chooses to attend.

I don't normally make huge leaps in speculation on football prospects, but. . . when I do . . .

It's at 3 AM while I'm drunk posting on VN.
