That's why Butch Jones recruited Quinten Dormady.
Dobbs
Ferguson
Peterman
Jennings
IMO would have been fine. Adding a 2nd QB at that point to the 2015 class would not have helped with your point of "no proven QBs". Taking another "unproven QB" would not have done much in that aspect.
Ferguson moves on, and we add Dormady. Also sets us up with at least a chance to get a 2016 kid. That will give us 5 QBs on scholarship headed into 2016. IMO we would be fine. IF Peterman would decide to transfer, or Dobbs left early, or JJ moves to S, then you look at taking 2 in 2016.
He's not leaving without his degree and that degree will not be completed in less than 4 years. It's a 5-year program for most.
I do agree with this, but I also wonder...
He is obviously smart enough to get an academic scholarship. If academics are more important, why didn't he take the ac. scholarship and walk-on to the team?
It seems that fb is more important to him, at least at the moment. If he can make immediate $$ in the pros, I'm not so sure he would skip the opportunity. He could always return for a year of college and finish his degree after his NFL career.

Are you seriously proposing that Dobbs will leave early to enter the NFL draft? Not sure what skill set you saw in his play last year that would translate to NFL success? Might ought to wait until he at least becomes a starter on his college team before this type of talk? :loco:
