Yeah, it's great. Just seems odd that he tweeted Hooters then The Cookout and nothing else in between. Probably just eating there... maybe seeing how many people follow him and try to show up at the place.

I would make a joke about paid advertising, but someone would surely take it to be serious or try to start a rumour.

ETA: Nevermind, looks like a variation has already begun.

Not to kick the hornet's nest...genuine question: Why do you figure Rivals shows TG with High interest for UT, while AU is only medium...and why do you figure that CZA is listed as his recruiter, while both QD and JJ both have CMB? Sure does smell like we're treating him as a WR, and more interestingly, it appears he is comfortable with that...

CZA recruits Florida. TG is from Florida. Nothing to read into or speculate on.

I really don't understand why this guy doesn't speed up his commitment process to whoever he may be going. Waiting this long is not a good thing, particularly for a QB

You know....what if he is becoming open to being an ATH, and taking a shot at both WR and QB?

I mean...for a dude who loves UT, and just saw us take a second QB, he sure isn't ticked about it....what if he's really becoming open to the idea of trying out WR or even defense? Just a thought.

Hes definitely not a defensive guy. How bout we take him as the 2nd QB and JJ can try out WR or defense if thats the case.

Could very well be the case. He did not make it for the QB camp and UT took another QB. Today there is another major "camp" at UT and TG stuck around town for 5 days. Maybe before he heads home later today he tries his hand at catching passes for UT's staff at the camp. Hurt anyone's feelings to take him along side Preston Williams as the #2 WR in the class? I doubt it.

There's no way Gibson is "stranded" in Knoxville. Now if I were in his shoes and likely surrounded by college coeds I might tell my parents I'm having "transportation issues"

If Gibson was just a WR we wouldn't even be having a discussion on whether we can afford to take him or not, we would be talking about opposing DBs and peanuts. The fact that the kid wants a shot at QB doesn't effect his athletic talent. You give him his shot at QB, if he makes it great that means he beat out everyone else.

I don't know what is more laughable the stranded farce or the idea that we would pass on his athletic talent.

That's crossed my mind.

TG has become the hottest chick at the dance who is hanging around awkwardly after being rejected. It's not impossible that UT became more attractive to TG since we opted to dance with someone else.

Definitely not saying that's the case, because I don't have a clue. I'm just saying it wouldn't shock me if he is a little more enamored with us prior to his visit.

It's been a strange visit, regardless.

Something to consider.

Had his parents not allowed him to get in the car with a couple random twitter fans, it's likely he would not be discussing "transportation issues" with them.

Offering to take him as a WR would not be passing on his athletic talent. Would it?

No but I think they would like to give him a shot at QB. Of course if he gets on campus and circumstances go a certain way he might see the field as a WR a lot earlier than he would as a QB. Most say the kid would be a 5 star WR if that were the position he wanted to play.

I am a parent and if my son was "stranded" the way the rumors are stating, I would be doing absolutely everything in my power to get him home. That's just freaking ridiculous. People are so dense.
