To be fair, the last quotes from him had us behind AU. Not to say that we aren't ahead now. But your statement isn't exactly factual.

And I haven't seen any real consideration of Francois coming here.

The more I think about it the more I think it's Gibson. He's been conspicuously silent his whole time here, and he hasn't left yet. That and, you know, it makes no sense for our coaches to panic over a random 3-star QB who hasn't played in two years.

Every poster that wanted TG is still happy to land Dormady. Just because you want to draw a line in the sand over HS recruits doesn't mean the rest of us are like that.

Haha. I'm with you. If it's not Gibson, then Ainge overhyped the heck out of this. Not bc Dormady isn't good - he may be great - but as of now relatively little known. Gibson or a package deal is all that makes sense to elicit the response on Twitter Ainge is suggesting is gonna go down. Or we've been misled, intentionally or not.

I think it could be, when - as Eazy mentioned earlier - you consider how quiet his Twitter account has been since arriving. That thing is usually blazing with tweets and there has been only 1 in the last 23hours. Then add the fact that he's extended his stay in Knoxville and we get speculation that there will be a big-time recruit who will blow up Twitter tonight.

Plus, it seems to be trending toward Gibson, based on speculation around the web.

He has never said Auburn was leading for him only that his trip was a 10.

We're all getting lathered up about Gibson or Francois or Dormady, but IMHO, we already got the best of the bunch, committed.

If Jennings were from Florida or CA, he'd already be a 5*. Already the top offensive player in the state of TN, and that's not too shabby.

Gibson or Francois would just be icing on the cake or insurance, IMO.

FTR he was planning to be here Sat/Sun. Instead came Sun/Mon. He is staying different days than expected, not longer than expect. :good!:

Dormady's last tweet is from June 3rd and it says blessed to have received an offer from Alabama. That could mean nothing though I suppose...

It was a simple response to people saying it's a package deal of commitments with both Gibson and Dormady. Just pointing out Vol74 had not posted their :) yet.

I would also point out every poster who wanted TG is happy to land Dormady. But that does not really matter.

I mean accept a commitment from Dormady now before we see any recent game film just because Riley Ferguson left. People have been speculating all weekend about giving TG an ultimatum of some kind, but that makes absolutely no sense to me. "Calling Gibson's bluff" and accepting a commitment from Dormady now would smack of desperation, IMO.

As an ATH? Maybe...still doubtful. But as a QB? No way. Not right now at least.

It's really nice finally being back to recruiting where we used to be. Where we have a multitude of top tier QB's that really like us and TWO that could commit tonight (one or the other, obviously). I can't really find it in me to be upset in the slightest if any one of the top 5-6 QB's we are in on commit to us. What people need to understand is Butch will find THE BEST PLAYERS FOR TENNESSEE and win a lot of games. You can count on that. For those of you who have met Butch and his staff, it's obvious. We're on the way back.
