I tend to agree. The issue for Vols is his family and coach all but sold on Urbz or UM at the last hour. Those relationships date back 4+ years and dont seem to be fading. This one reminds me of Tracy Howards recruitment. Parents and coach won on NSD. jmo

Maybe Ohio isn't the school Gibson has "more or less" committed to. He makes a point to say he always tells the truth and that Coach Jones knows this specifically about him. Maybe he, like Kyle Phillips, has more or less told Butch that he's on board if we show any inkling of improvement on the field and keep our good recruits who are already committed or set to commit. I do know that he seems to be a well spoken and thoughtful fellow, and that he's most likely talking about something specific that we're unaware of when he's speaking about "the truth" and "trust." It could happen. In any event Torrance Gibson is dang good, and he could be great at Tennessee.

Gibson IMO has always been top target but they initially probably felt their chances were better with Gentry. IMO that is why they were considered 1a and 1b by most everyone. When I look at the offense, Gibson is the athlete you dream of plugging into at QB. Gibson is only QB that has specifically said that we have told him he was our #1 guy.

I'm glad we lead now but I just don't trust Auburn and Ohio St is these type of recruitments. Im not closing Miami out either with Rumph involved.

Thats one of the reasons I think we are so high on TG's list. I mean he has to look at the WR talent at each school he is considering. OSU and AU are very good teams but their WR talent is nowhere near ours.

I really wish Wimbush would have committed to osu to alleviate the worries about Gibson for now. Btw did anyone see Jimmy Frank's comments about Maryland and Rutgers? That guy continues to be the most unlikable head coach for me in cfb. The anti-Butch..

Yes but to those who don't know what you're talking about, according to Jiminy Cricket Maryland and Rutgers might as well be shut down now because Penn State will dominate that region and considers Baltimore, New Jersey and the DC area as in-state (perhaps some sort of unannounced annexation plan that's on the hush-hush?) Anyway, the Big Ten is getting a taste of his brashness...One thing is for sure, recruiting the northern seaboard will be easier than recruiting Nashville against Butch.

Just watching his film for the first time, kid is going to thrive in CBJ system. Also surprised at his toughness, isn't afraid to throw a block or lower his shoulder finishing a run. Want, want, want.

Gibson takes the snap and dishes a long screen down the line to Jennings. Jennings scrambles, shakes a defender, and what's this?! He throws a bullet right down the middle and it's hauled in by...... what number was that?......wait a minute.. I think that was Gibson. It was Gibson!... on a burner right down the middle. Where'd that guy come from?! TOUCHDOWN TENNESSEE! cue the band. Meanwhile somewhere in Ohio Urban Meyer tucks into a ball and cries gently. .....It could happen.
