Clemson Rivals has an article up, he said nice things about his Clemson visit but nothing seemed to wow him like he talks about UT.

The article went on to say, "Gibson declined to differentiate between visits but suggested the Vols were "Very high" on his list after Thursday's stop.

"The visit was amazing," he said. "Their fans are really passionate about their football team and the program. The coaches are really fired up. Coach Butch Jones has a plan to take his team to a national championship, and I believe in his plan. When you start from the bottom with a team and have the No. 3 recruiting class in the nation, you're moving up. And he's moving on up and will have a great team this year. They didn't take a quarterback last class, and like Butch said, they're just waiting on me."

I don't care what anyone says about his accuracy. That can be fixed. You can't teach all of his other talent and qualities. He would be very dangerous in our offense with our skill players.

Notice how almost every kid immediately buys into CBJ's vision?

I would love to hear his full recruiting pitch sometime. It must be killer.

Assuming we could choose between the two, I'd definitely take Gibson. I think a lot of Volnation posters were talking up Gentry and nitpicking with Gibson because a few weeks ago it looked like we were the favorites for Gentry while Gibson was perceived as a long shot. Now that the roles appear to have reversed, I expect some posters may rethink their evaluation of Gibson.

Gibson is a freaking beast!!!

I'll admit I find myself backtracking on my position about Gibson (did not want) simply because I believe in our coaches ability to develop his passing skills. Dude has athletic skills that can not be taught.

5* QB Torrence Gibson. May have misspelled his name. Is this guy a Tee Martin type guy. Or a move to another position guy. Some one thinks high enough to make him the #1 duel threat. Sounds like the visit went great. If he commits. Is this a great QB get? Or a I wish we landed someone else. And guys please keep the smarta$$ comments to yourself. I'm trying to get an actual legitimate response to a question.

I think the camp move to WR is over blown. In those 7 on 7s a guy with his athleticism absolutely destroys people in that setting out wide... But he led his high school team to the state championship.. Obviously when those pads come on and you step between the lines, he got it done at QB.

Gibson type athletes are rare. And they can tear it up at the college level.

Rivals has him listed as #2 DT QB, high 4star. 247 has him listed as #1 DT QB, 5 star. He's at the top of our coaches QB board along with Gentry and Wimbush. He seems to be an incredible athlete who could also play WR, as he has done at some of these camps lately.

To answer your question, if he commits is he a great get? Yes.

You guys are selling him really well on being able to come in and start right away (even though there would be little chance of that actually happening). No QB in last year's class means a lot.

You hate blind homers? I came on here and objectively talked Carl Lawson and was laughed off the board when I said he was coming to Auburn.

Stop being so butthurt. Everything I talk is objective. The reality is that you guys cant seem to handle someone coming here and telling you that a kid probably isn't going to Tennessee. And I'm the homer?
