I really do not understand this. You would think they would see the mess of a roster that he left at UF, or the fact that he does not develop quarterbacks well enough to be very successful in the league.

Twitter followers are important to these kids. Most will say or do anything to build their followers up. It's the new version of street cred.

He even has the follower app that keeps track of how many new followers he gets everyday.

Don't get your hopes up, he's using our fanbase for followers because we rule twitter

Tee had weapons everywhere at WR. Several NFL guys. Price, Wilson, Graham, Copeland and Martin. Plus Eric Parker and Stallworth but dont think they played that year but not positive.

And as soon as he picks another school...he loses half his follower base. I don't get why kids don't see that.

It's a good 6-7 month run of twice the followers though.

Kid has 10,000 followers on Feb 1st. He commits to osu on June 1st and within 3 hrs he is at 2,190 followers.

"Welp, I guess it's time to go watch some Percy Harvin film".

I understand that kids play social media for popularity, but this kid seems pretty interested in us.

Can you imagine an offense led by Gibson and surrounded by Hurd-Scott, North-Malone-Pearson and Helm-Wolf? Geez...

You'd have to think the offensive weapons we have recruited recently would grab any QB's attention.

Playing with guys like Malone, North, Pearson, Williams, Helm, Scott, and Hurd is a huge advantage

Do I think the fan base can make or break a commit....ABSOLUTELY. If you don't, your naive to today's society. Now, is it major factor, no but you would be surprised by how passionate a fan base is will result in at least making a kid think twice. Its the small things we can do as a fan base to make recruits think. On another note, we need to be classy when we don't get them.

Gibson and most of the other top QB's will commit before the season even starts. Butch will have to get Gibson to buy into the vision, the weapons on campus/coming in, and that will start with a visit to Knoxville. He must visit this spring if we want a shot, IMO.
