Right. I just applied for a scholarship to Julliard for my six year old daughter.

Will start piano lessons tomorrow.

:p

Those people out west did this for publicity.

OR by 2014 they'll still be on probation and need to lock these kids in now.

Methinks I smell an overbearing dad on this one. Anyone think this kid has any chance whatsoever for a 'normal' adolescence?
NO this dad is crazy.. He flew his kid down to TN this year to play MBA.. Also flew the team to california.. Not to mention He goes to over 6 or 7 expensive camps a year.. And they are saying the doctors are predicting him to be 6 foot 5??? thats a bunch of crap both his parents are short.. His dad has a lot of money if anything he is making him take growth hormones..

I bet after Kiffin snuck him in to his first R rated movie and took him rolling for the first time that he knew USC was the place for him.

"since all this USC stuff has been moving around. Hearing that longtime Trojans QB commitment David Sills has shown some interest and has been in contact with the Vols. Eastern Christian Academy head coach Dwayne Thomas mentioned to Adam Friedman that the Vols have inquired about Sills and I'm hearing the interest is mutual.

If you remember, it was Lane Kiffin that offered Sills as a 7th grader and Kiffin was one of the biggest reasons Sills liked the Trojans. He is a Steve Clarkson QB student and travels out to the west coast often for training. However, Kiffin offered quite a few quarterbacks in the 2015 class which left some wondering if he was going to take two in the class or if they soured on Sills a bit. 2015 is one of the best years on the west coast for quarterbacks in recent memory and the new coach might want a more local guy, that can't be predicted. If Ed Orgeron somehow keeps the job, which is very unlikely, then Sills would likely remain loyal and that loyalty would be reciprocated. However, there is so much in the air at USC right now and it will be a long time before anything is known about who the new head coach will be that I can see Sills looking around.

With current teammate Neiko Creamer committed to the Vols and with a good connection between coach Thomas and Vols assistant Tommy Thigpen, this could get interesting down the line.

Sills said he was "still committed" to USC when I messaged with him today, but these rumors are out there from multiple sources out west and on the east coast. I doubt anyone will confirm on the record so this could just be something we'll have to keep an eye on."

How good is this kid?

"Smart kid and sees the field really well, arm strength is average but has above average football IQ. Very thin and would need a couple of years in the weight room. Hasn't developed as much as expected from all the hype but still a very good QB. Can be a good game manager at times and others times throw lights out, so consistency is needed as well. But a four star QB with upside for sure."

If he can't walk on campus in early August, take complete command of the offense in three weeks and lead us to wins over Florida, Georgia and Alabama, then why waste our time?

hes class of 2015. by the time this kid gets on campus, Worley will be gone and Fergy and Dobbs will be RSoph/Juniors. and it looks like we arent taking one in 2014. Fergy and Dobbs will play for 2-3 years while this kid is in the weightroom

Interview with David's coach...

"Coach Orgeron has always been the glue over there," Thomas said. "Regardless of how they move forward I think a guy like Coach O would be solidified in his position."

"David has always been the type of kid that liked USC regardless of who the coach was but I'm doing my job and looking at other options," said Thomas. "Personally, I'm an advocate for the kid. If I don't see things going the right way for the kid then I need to do my job regardless of what the family wants."

"I'm not doing any research because people have always been in contact," Thomas said. "When a kid makes a commitment in seventh grade there are so many things that can change. Smart guys always stay close. Tennessee and other places have always said, 'If things change, let us know.'

"Nobody from Tennessee has reached out to me recently," said Thomas. "I just know that from my standpoint over the years, that has been a program that has always been interested in David. If you look at where they are located, what conference they're in and things like that, it could be an appealing program to him."
