'15 CA QB Travis Waller

Why no CB to UT has Oregon even offered? And if so is he considered a lock? This guy would be perfect for our offense. Very shifty and has a smooth quick release

So because he got an offer and said a couple positive things about what he's heard about UT, along with his coach giving him some good info about UT he should just start getting CBs all to UT? Might need to visit and check the program out a little bit first.

"Tennessee offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian was in California today to see quarterback Travis Waller. Waller said he will likely visit Tennessee in the summer, possibly June but no plans are nailed down, yet."

They already have one. Anyone they add from here with the exception of TG is gonna be a solid passer, which Waller definitely is.

I said nothing regarding his passing ability. He is listed as a DT QB and there are other DT QBs that this staff have offered.

"Things are starting to speed up," Waller said. "I know several coaches that are coming to see me in the spring that haven't seen me in person. Tennessee is one of those teams that are really recruiting me harder. I've developed a good relationship with their coaches."

"Coach Jake, I like him a lot," Waller said. "I call him once or twice a week and we talk over twitter. He has been telling me about the fan base and their spring game. He says he would love to see me in orange and white. He tells me what they are looking for at quarterback. They want a dual threat guy."

"I think what I do well is both," Waller said. "I can make plays last longer with my feet and that's what people know me for. I scramble when things break down and I just try to make plays with my arm and my legs."

"I know for sure, I'd like to commit before my first game," Waller said. "I'd like to get it done in July though. I'm in the process of narrowing it down to five schools and focus on them." Along with Tennessee, Waller has offers from Arizona, BYU, Colorado, Ole Miss, Penn State, Vanderbilt, Washington and others.

Man I like this guys film a lot. He looks like a perfect fit for our offense. He runs well and looks great on the read option. He's also got a good arm and has surprisingly good accuracy. He fit some balls into tight windows and throws the deep ball well and also put the ball in the perfect spot on the fades and jump balls. Hopefully the coaching staff can sell him on playing QB at The University of Tennessee.

I really like this kids game vids. Waller and Gentry are favorite QBs in this class. I like Gibson but I don't think he's going to be a VOL.

Waller, Gentry, or Gibson. Id be fine with any of the three. What do you guys think?

IMO I'd rather have Gentry or Waller as our QB. We need a guy who can get our playmakers the ball as much and as consistently as possible. I love Gibson's athleticism and potential, but he is a ways behind the other two as a passer and he is a guy who is best with the ball in his hands and not as a distributor. And with the guys we are stockpiling at the skill positions I want someone who can get them the ball consistently. I would love to have a TRUE dual threat QB because it's so hard for a defense to scheme against and stop but at this point I feel like Gibson is more of a single threat because he's not much of a threat as a passer. I honestly don't think Gibson will stick at QB in college unless it's somewhere like Auburn or he drastically improves as a passer (which could happen).
