He also had a thread in the football forum saying that anybody who thinks we'll go worse than 8-4 is "scared to win." Whatever that means.

It's best just to assume he's 9 so it's entertaining instead if face-palm worthy.

It takes winning to pull kids from across the country that you have no connections with. Once we start winning big then you will see us have better shot to win a few west coast battles like we used to.

If you make it with your right hand they actually are doing it correctly. Pinky/ring fingers make the V...middle/thumb make the O...index makes the L.

Isn't it great to be one of those schools kids just throw on their lists even if they're not really even considering us? Not saying that specifically to Mr. Houston here, it just seems to be happening more and more.

Twitter is the reason for a lot of it. It's known now that if you just mentioned the Vols on twitter you pick up a lot of followers. Put UT in your top group and you may pick up thousands of new followers. Kids like the attention and seeing that follower # go up and up.

No, it does not suck I suppose. IMO it causes a lot of fans to "think" UT is actually a contender for a lot of kids that they are not though. "But they mentioned Tennessee on twitter, we must be in it". Just makes me laugh.

Sure, it can be misleading, but that's just all part of adjusting back to the fame game. It means more parsing of information and intelligent discourse in the recruiting forum, and the unavoidable gnashing of teeth in the football forum.

Both are fun.
