149 yards per game

If this D can just stop giving up big plays over the top I can live with the rest. Have they given up some rushing yards? Yes but 149 a game ain't gonna kill ya; having guys continually behind your CB's and Safeties will.

It's almost like we have two of our best run stopping players out for an extended period of time.

Yeah, we have played some good quarters of football on defense (3rd quarter vs. UGA and UF, and some of the 4th quarter in UGA), I have yet to really feel the Shoop affect. I know we have had some major injuries, but still. It seems like our opponents are scoring an awful lot on us.

UGA: 31
UF: 28 (13 on Vandy)
Ohio: 19

The best performance so far in hindsight was holding VT to just 24.

If we want to beat TAMU and Bama, regardless of our injury situation, we have to tighten up. Shoop needs to earn his paycheck these next two games and get us the chance to split against TAMU and Bama.

The offense had two long drives, and one medium, in the first half. Should have resulted in 14 points, which is very acceptable in an SEC game.

Our defense was gashed by the long ball against Florida.
It was gashed by the running game and then another long ball by Georgia.

The offense did not have a hand in it.

Who pissed in your cheerios?

Corner play is terrible. Ga got over 130 outside and less than 70 inside. Everyone has run outside on the Vols. Everyone.

We need to recruit corners to help our run defense...said no one, ever.

I wouldn't want Dion Sanders. He doesn't support in run defense well enough. (Sarcasm)

Show me a corner thinking run first and some butter cause we will have toast

LBs are getting the the ball carrier late, not meeting the ball carrier in the hole headup. So we get a lot of drag downs. All teams teach stripping the ball and we need it. Our corners have lost leverage quite a few times. If the LBs don't arrive the corner is s left playing the back one on one, sometimes resulting in lost leverage.
