Van Dyke could be special

Has an official offer from Cal right now, will get more as a senior. I realize he may not be on the radar right now for many, but he is a special player. Will become a hot recruit

Seems like this guy is just ready to blow up on the recruiting front within the next year.

Forgot to mention he also plays basketball and does track and field. As mentioned in the article could grow to be 6'6

yes he is. Also just sent a quick message to his coach (my old coach) asking him about highlight tape

will try and find out. I know last year Marcus Rios was a Pac-12 guy but UT caught on late, unfortunately it was too late. That said UT at least started to connect there.

Ok cool. Yeah I'm tired of hearing about us getting on recruits too late. Hopefully this staff keeps up the work and doesn't get caught in a situation like that.

Can't read it, but it appears we are interested here, per Fort.

Edit: He just retweeted a PAC12 Rivals person who said we were interested.

Hmm...Startin to wonder if Malone's OV euphoria wore off when he returned home.

Imo the 2013 recruiting class would have been the year to snag the Juco WRs

now that Lauderdale has left the fold, I would be real encouraged by landing a big WR who has 4 Years of eligibility

From a poster on VQ who lives in Sacramento, CA...

The kid is a stud. He is bigger than the 6'4 he is listed at. More like 6'6. He is a long strider that can stretch the field, runs a sub 50 second 400m and avg a double double as an all city PF. He is a polished route runner and a tough blocker. He didn't do a ton of camps and combines but his stock will rise after he shows out at the AAA bowl. 3.5+ GPA. He isn't doing much in terms of recruiting until after the season.

His dad was a two time AA and second round NFL draft pick out of Nevada. AVD sr runs a training facility here in Sacramento that turns out several D1 athletes every year. There is actually a favorable UT presence in Sacramento with about 25 former baseball and softball players along with Donte Stallworth, Vicki Baugh and Kara Lawson's time with the WNBA team.
