Junior offensive tackle Steven Moss of Chancellor High School in Virginia is adding more schools to his list of offers. The most recent came from the SEC - Tennessee came in just this week.
Moss has not visited the Vols yet, but he sees a lot positives about the school.
"I like that they are in the SEC. I like the coaches from who I have talked to so far, and I like the program up there."
He has been talking to Coach Mike Bajakian the most. He plans to visit Tennessee soon.

""I received an offer from Florida State right after school the other day. This is one of my biggest offers along with the two from South Carolina and Tennessee.

"I know the Seminoles have been in contention for the ACC title for a long time. They win a lot and I was talking to Coach Trickett and he was explaining to me how they need offensive linemen."

Considering the offers from those two SEC schools, Clemson, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland and others, how does Florida State compare?

"I'm still going to hold FSU even with all my other schools. Nobody is pulling ahead right now because it is so early. I'm getting a lot of offers right now and I can only imagine what's going to happen in the spring recruiting period."

Steven Moss left Knoxville impressed after Tennessee's junior day last weekend.

"This was my first visit to the University of Tennessee," the ESPN Watch List offensive lineman from Fredericksburg (Va.) Chancellor said. "It was a pretty overwhelming experience meeting all the coaches and everything...I liked what I saw."

Moss said he liked offensive line coach Jon Mahoney's intensity in Saturday's practice.
"I saw that he's hard on you," the 6-foot-5, 290-pound prospect said. "He wants to make you play to the best of your abilities."

Moss is a key target for Tennessee. The Volunteers will lose most -- if not all -- of their offensive line after the 2013 season. Tennessee could lose five of its six top offensive linemen after the 2013 season. Four are seniors and junior Antonio Richardson could forgo his final season of eligibility for the NFL. Moss said he took note of the depth chart.

Moss has 21 scholarship offers. He has visited Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina and Clemson. He said he'll visit Virginia this weekend and Florida State on April 13. Alabama, Notre Dame and Ohio State have yet to offer Moss a scholarship yet. Those schools had better hurry if interested.

"I would definitely like to lower it down to five by spring or at least summer," Moss said of naming finalists. One school seems destined to make the cut.
"I'd say they'll be in that top five," Moss said of Tennessee. I wouldn't see them being out of it."

Tennessee didn't pick up any commitments Saturday. However, several prospects left saying they'd expect the Volunteers to be among their eventual list of finalists. ESPN Watch List offensive lineman Steven Moss from Fredericksburg (Va.) Chancellor was one. His parents should have no problem with that.

"My mom and dad definitely liked it," he said. "My parents are big about family and they're big about that here [in Knoxville]. That's definitely good for them."

The family atmosphere carried over to Neyland Stadium. Families were shown where they would sit during games and a lounge where they can wait for their sons afterward.

The turnout was startling by all accounts. Senior associate athletic director David Blackburn said Tennessee hadn't hosted that big of a recruiting event since 2004.

"I thought it was a pretty overwhelming experience meeting all the coaches and everything. It's definitely a good thing," Moss said. "I liked what I saw, the stadium and everything. I liked the way they practiced, I liked the way they coached."

"I just saw that he's hard on you and he wants you to play to the best of your abilities," Moss said. "We were just up in his office and just discussed everything about the recruiting process and how it was going and my interest towards to them. They pretty much just said we like what you do and just keep up the good work." "I like the coaching. I like the program. It's just a big program, big-time SEC program," he said.

Moss' mother and father accompanied him to campus and the rising senior said his parents appreciated the family feel that Butch Jones has created around the program. "My mom and dad definitely liked that. My parents are big about family and they're big about it here and definitely a good thing for them," Moss said.

"I would definitely like to lower it down to five by at least spring or summer. They did a pretty good job, they'll probably be in that top five. I don't see them being out of it," Moss offered.

Two VA lineman and a top 100 guy at that?! Definitely approve of restocking the OL this way! This would be a great get.

"I went to Tennessee this weekend," said Moss. "It was a good time. It was different than many of the schools that I've been to so far. It's different in the SEC."

"The stadium is huge. I like what the coaching staff is doing there. They've had a lot of success in the short time they've been there. The staff told me that they're taking the best of the best and they see me as one of the best."

"I'm heading down to UVa on Friday after school let's out. I'm staying on Friday night to hang out with the players. On Saturday, I'm going to practice and then afterward, I plan to watch some film with Coach (Scott) Wachenheim.

"I've been to UVa so many times, there's really not much more to see. I could probably give the campus tour at this point. This visit is about building on the relationships that I have made there with the coaches and the players.

"I know a few of the lineman already. I've known Jackson Matteo since we were in camp together my freshman year. I've talked to Morgan Moses and Luke Bowanko as well."

"Quin and I talk or text pretty much every day. I talked to him last night and he said that he's coming up to UVa this weekend too. I'm looking forward to catching up with him and everyone at UVa."

"I'm still hoping to narrow my list down by the end of the spring. I'd like to get it down to five. There are still some schools that I hope visit soon. I'm scheduled to visit Florida State in April."

Blanding is probably UVA's best recruiter.

I wonder why VN hasn't blown up about this guy guy. He and his parents were truly impressed on his visit. Anyone have a connection with this guy? Can we ask TK2 to tweet him or something?
