"It really did feel different coming back, not really as a recruit," Thomas said. "Being there with so many of the other commitments, there was a real family feel to it. I've always felt comfortable there, but it was even better going back there kind of feeling like you were already a part of things."
"I definitely get the feeling from the coaches, from the other recruits, that big things are going to happen at Tennessee. It's hard to be around coach Jones and not believe that he's going to turn things around," Thomas said, adding that his most recent exposure to the program gave him a clearer picture of what 'turning it around' means.
An excellent student, he'll have no problem being a December graduate, and admits that he's heavily considering the pro's and cons' of enrolling at Tennessee early.
"It's something I think about every day to be honest, even though it's a long way off," Thomas said of what's becoming a more and more common move for signees. "There are a lot of positives and negatives to it on both sides. Obviously, you're going to miss a lot of your senior year if you do it, but at the same time, I can see where it would be a big advantage to get in early and try to get a head start. "It's definitely something that I'm thinking about."
