Not looking for an e fight or anything but your number of posts point is irrelevant. Some post more than others but that doesn't make them more informed or their opinions any more valid than those of us that prefer to lurk more than share our opinions regularly. I believe the point he was trying to make is that you have made it very clear many times already that you dont think he is a take (i agree btw) & the only reason this thread is constantly posted in is because he plays in Knoxville. Not speaking for anyone else here but take or not, I like to keep up w local kids because I have seen them play. You make it sound like we're stupid for believing he could play at this level in the future & wish we had depth & could give him a chance. And no I dont believe he is better than any of our current commits but I also dont believe a kid cant play for TN because his offer list isnt great. There are kids playing all over the country that are all conference or all american that were barely rated or only had one or two offers at all.
Personally I have seen him play several times & I do believe he could possibly play at this level in the future but in our current roster state theres no way we can gamble on a kid. We have to hit on most of these kids for 14 & 15. We cant afford to take chances now.
Thats what a lower tier state school should be doing. Recruiting state kids creates competetion and pride that bleeds into the HS systems. The more TN kids play past hs the better off our programs will be. imo.Chattanooga making major moves for Penny Smith Darryl Rollins and Xavier Hawkins.

Also, it kinda pisses me off when I see our kids playing for other state programs. Especially in our womens sports.
No disrespect to Williams but he isn't the play maker or even close to what Hawkins is. I liked Williams size when I seen him against Fulton. He moved okay as well for that size. Hawkins is as good with ball in his hands as this area has seen in a long while and a 4.4 (40) from what I was told... If you haven't seen Hawkins play you won't regret making a trip to one of his games. Ask ANY opposing coach I'm sure if honest they would share with you the player he is.[/QUOTE
Stumbled over this old post and wanted say I wasn't comparing their talent. Xavier is a BEAST. They are totally different players and serve different purposes. Xavier was being used to his full potential. Billy was not. Billy also played most of thatl Fulton game with a partially seperated shoulder that was injured when he went down on it after nearly breaking a kick off. No thanks to any help from his coach ....his film was made it's way to Northern Iowa and he's on a full ride after they offered just on seeing the film because of his versitility at his size. They watch him play basketball and that made them more excited. If Billy cant' go around you(he has a 4.38 shuttle....that's litte guy quickness)...or out run you (a 4.6 40yd at a now muscled up 245-250 ain't bad)..he will run over you....Hope things worked our for Xavier....i saw him play and he is dynamic.
