That was the prevailing thought early on, but 74 squashed a lot of that.

PLUS, it was mentioned a few days ago in one of these threads that Hurd has apparently been working his tail off behind the scenes with Malone. That's where I got that info from.

i thought we had dont ok in recruiting even with the attrition until i went back and relooked at our previous few classes and i was amazed at how many 4 stars i thought we had that we didnt lol not that stars matter a lot but still... i believe in Butch.

I waffle back and forth. This will go one of two ways:

1. He's been using UT as a 'standby' for his plan to leave the state (deciding between FSU, GA, and Clemson).

2. He's been using everybody else as decoys to his allegiance to Butch and UT.

I have no idea which way it'll go. I don't believe he's been totally on the fence this long. But who knows... :unsure:

Well it is a lot more inclusive considering Appalachian Americans come in all colors and always have. Even Middlesboro, KY which has a Jewish cemetery as well as Catholic, Native American, and other 'mixed' roots that stretch back to its very founding and later was racist as all get out back in the day integrated their hospital due to a coal mining accident. The miners came out black after a collapse and all of them were transported to the 'white' hospital. When it was eventually discovered that one of the patients was black his fellow miners made it clear their would be hell to pay if he were transferred and stopped it. It's been integrated ever since.

And that's not accounting for the black and part black Melungeons in E. TN who managed to gain an exception to Jim Crow laws allowing them to vote and have all the rights of 'white' folks or the long history of black Appalachians in places like Claiborne County. E. TN was considered the freest place in the entire Union to speak of abolition and had the very first paper dedicated to it (that includes all of the US and did so BEFORE the North). It's always been different.

But back to Malone... Appies gonna App. We love our football no matter our color. :)

Eh I don't know...sometimes I have a hard time choosing a place to eat for hours. Maybe the kid is really just torn? That sounds a lot more probable to me.

Reportedly said that it was either going to be the Vols or Clemson. FSU and GA are out of it

His parents want him close, and we have made room for him to EE! If he goes elsewhere I will be surprised!! By the way my only source is VN!! I also thought Vonn Bell was a vol!

actually we didnt make room for him to EE yet. we can only have 14 EEs. we have 14 planning on EE right now.
