'14 TN WR Josh Malone (UT commit 12/4/13)

I'm posting in this thread. I've never posted in the recruiting forum because I never feel worthy, but I'm feeling rather brave today.

Having gotten that out of the way, I really would love to have Malone on board. We have time to develop our quarterbacks while we will have a WR unit that is stellar.

You must not visit the FF much.

Care to elaborate or just throw around insults and leave it at that? Feel free to point out how many of Kiffin's recruits are still helping this program out. Also make sure to elaborate on what a great influence recruits like Nukeese were on our program.

Where to start where to start...

Well let's see, Auburn won a National Championship by one of those players.

Onto the Kiffin topic. How many Kiffin recruits are still helping out the program? None, the last just played their last game. I'm still very appreciative of Kiffin for giving Daniel Hood a scholarship. We had arguably the best punter in the nation because of Kiffin. Our great former receivers (-Patterson) were thanks to the Kiffin regime. The majority of our O-Line was on board with Kiffin. There's a lot that we had during Dooley's tenure that he failed to win with, but it's dumb to act as if talent was missing.

How many would have been helping had the SC job not opened up? A whole damn lot.

People complain about the type of players that Kiffin brought to town, but don't have anything to say when it's brought up that he actually kicked people off the team for making mistakes. Of the last 3 coaches, Kiffin is the only one you could count on to remove bad seeds immediately.

Recruits you have to bribe or play in the grey areas for never turn out being worth it. You can't have a character kid that you have to bribe to get in your program. I'd think the Kiffin experiment would have taught us something about dirty recruiting not being successful in the long run.

Butch is doing things the right way. Let the haters hate.

Auburn and Cam Newton beg to differ.

I'm calling it a night boys.

As we move closer to the announcement and spin is everywhere, my jimmies remain unrustled.

Boom! I am on call and close!

I know you seem to be a controversial figure here Bruin, but I'm quite fond of most of your postings. You make me laugh rather often. You also have no qualms about embracing your role here. Much respect for that. BOOM

Wonder what Clemson's "compelling" argument was?

"Imagine rarely being in the spot light and when we are, we milk it because it could be 10 years before anyone mentions us. But you, you could play in front of 80,000 fans which is much better than 102,000 because you can hear your QB make audibles! Speaking of that QB. You could play with a guy who has yet to spend a single day in the system or collegiate weight room. He is also a blank canvas as he has never even played a practice snap in college. Tennessee has those guys and several of them. Who knows who your QB will be there! Here you know it'll be an inexperienced freshman in a new system and new environment.

Sure Tennessee has produced many WRs for the NFL. But here, you are one of a handful. That's legendary status here at Clemson. Why meet Peyton manning when you can meet Tahj Boyd?!?

When you family comes, you only have to spend 20 minutes for the tour as there isn't much to be proud of. Accolades are boring.

Josh, if you come to Clemson, I will give you one of the old man grungy sweaters I wear on gameday. How about it son?"

Don't get it since Patterson signed with UT in 2011 and played in 2012 how Kiffy gets credit for that.

Well done 88. "Why meet Peyton when you can meet Tahj?" .... that's good stuff.

I'm actually happy other teams fans are accusing us of cheating on recruiting. Shows how good we are doing.

This dude gets it!

They just mad because they know the sleeping giant has woke up. And we're gonna come into their state and steal their best recruits. We always have and we always will. Eff Clemson!

Yep this stuff kills me! Are they saying we haven't been relevant for 15 years because that's our last NC? Ridiculous! When was there last NC? We've been down since 08, that's it, it means nothing. Hell, bama sucked for 10 years, sometimes only winning 3 and 4 games. Elite programs always make it back. We knew bama would. We are elite, they never have been. If their success is relevant without a NC then why is our success through 2007 not? Can't wait till Butch get this thing going!

Very well put!:clapping:

Clemson honestly is not a true powerhouse team! They've won a few games in the last couple of years and are currently ranked. Good for them, lol. But NO one really thinks of Clemson as a National Championship contender, a historic powerhouse, or a legit national powerhouse team. Just ask the Gamecocks!!!

I'm finding that Clemson board slightly infuriating. They are talking about how we are a trashy program who are likely paying Malone off... First off they think his cousin is a handler and that's complete garbage. Second off they keep talking about how we are a bottomfeeder SEC dumpster fire. And how we haven't been relevant in 15 years, but my question is when where they last relevant? Have they ever won the ACC/ national championship more than 1 time in the last 20 years and the answer is a big no. They've won 1 national championship ever. we've won 6. They've been ACC champions only once in the last 20 years... They need to get over themselves. Yes we are down, but we are 10 times the program they are

All you have to say to those fools......."Hey, when's the last time you beat SCjr?"

If Malone is going to make a "business decision" then why would he not play for a guy that coached NFL receivers Antonio Brown and Kenbrell Thompkins, and also come play for a program that just produced two guys (Hunter and Patterson) that were just drafted this past year. This choice is simple, really.

Sammy Watkins, Nuk Hopkins and probably Martavis Bryant (if he can get over his dropping woes) are a pretty good group for Clemson, recently. That being said, UT does have an edge in WRs its produced over the past couple of years.
