A player shouldn't lose a star because of an injury. Bad play? Yes. Rivals would not be correctly serving their customers by doing that.

Really anxious on this. So many signs that Malone should be a Vol. Don't wanna see him putting on a Clemson or UGA hat on Wendsday. I will say that if he's not going to UT, Clemson isn't a bad place for him to end up.

Not "very" prestigious. It's not even "prestigious." It's a very solid public school with education that probably exceeds any "prestige."

Butch Jones was in Gallatin this past weekend. I assume he was visiting Josh. Clemson was also here at the same time. Not sure which coach was here for clemson but saw their plane at our airport.

Honestly, I don't know. Typically, I don't follow recruiting all that close.

With the Berry's, they can play multiple positions so my guess would be where is greatest need?

I've not seen film on any high school player in years. I hear things about recruits and the recruiting process but haven't heard anything on projections of who plays where

Not going to start a thread for this so I put it here. Did we not recruit JoJo Memo at Kentucky. I thought he decomitted due to not qualifying

Mikki played with my son at BA when they beat Riverdale for the 5A State Title. Mikki ate at our restaurant -- with many of the other BA players -- virtually every Friday afternoon for their "pre game" meal. He was, and always will be, a very good friend of mine. I coached him on a travel baseball team as well. If Mikki is a cousin of JM and if he's "on the job", I'd feel pretty good about this recruit. I'll try to confirm the level of Mikki's involvement.

Obviously all eyes are on Josh Malone as we are just about 60 hours from a decision from the highly coveted receiver out of Gallatin. Yes, Malone was in Kansas City on Sunday for the Broncos-Chiefs game but that seems to be a trip that was planned well in advance of Sunday's contest.

Malone will be at the Mr. Football banquet in Murfreesboro Monday and it wouldn't be a surprise if members of both Clemson's and Tennessee's staffs are in Murfreesboro as well.

Then, Monday night, Malone will host around half of Tennessee's staff, including Butch Jones, as Tennessee gives one final push to land the state's top receiver. Clemson's Dabo Swinney, Jeff Scott and Robbie Caldwell are scheduled to be in to see Malone on Monday afternoon/early evening.

As of late Sunday night, we still don't believe that Malone has made a decision although there seems to be some momentum for Tennessee right now. But, this one seems far from over as Clemson had the momentum heading into the weekend.

While in the Midstate on Monday, look for an assistant coach or two to spend some time with Derek Barnett as well.

We are a couple of good rumors away from taking this thing to 12,000 by Friday. I will start one. Josh was out hanging Christmas lights this morning. A friend of mine just drove by and he is only using orange and white lights. Also some speculation that Butch is in his kitchen with an apron on making PB&Js for the fam with Butch's secret sauce. TIFWIW

I've never followed it as close as many. In the past, I typically got focused in late December and spent the last month learning everything I could. When things got moved up so much, I was not interested in spending all those hours in March on the next class. It starts too early for me. I can keep up as much as I feel necessary without knowing everything about every recruit.

I have never looked at recruiting videos. I haven't been to a high school game since about 1997. I can't evaluate players and begin to say if good or bad.

I gather information and as I said, hear enough to keep up as well as I need to.

What are your thoughts on an early signing period? Something I'm for in a MAJOR WAY!

So does Booth decommitting make Malone a lock? I can't see why we would have booth decommit if Tennessee wasn't sure Malone was coming...
