every yr ppl on here act like freshman will come in and dominate yet it never happens. pump the brakes some.

gotta balance out all the negativity/complaining/pessimism/whining on volnation that we've grown accustomed to the last 4 years. plus its different now. #2 recruiting class in the country. no more dools. stability with a hard working cohesive HC and staff. im excited cant help it.

plus, bama lost.

Obviously the entire freshman class won't make an instant impact, but I wouldn't be surprised to see at least 5-6 starting by the end of the year.

Hurd, Malone, Gaulden, Helm, Medley, and Kelly all have a good chance.

This may have been discussed already but Butch keeps implying Tennessee will welcome 14 early enrollees in January. How many are committed now? Is he hinting toward anything on Malone?

May have miscounted, but I counted 14 EE's currently on our commitment list in the commit thread.

We have 14 commits planning to be EE's, but I think he is speaking only about current commits.

Throw in Bates and McDowell as freshmen, Weatherd, Blair, Lambert and Pearson and JUCOs.

Nope. Currently have 14, IIRC.

Don't think he would ruin Malone's moment if he was going to commit.

I think Dobbs showed Malone what he needed to see tonight. All around good performance by him, besides the interception. Considering we lost Croom also I think he played well.

Would Malone return kicks for us next year ? Devrin Young is okay as a punt returner but we need someone else as kick returner

Okay cool, as long as we have someone with some serious speed I'll be happy . DY is quick, but he doesn't have the top end speed needed for KR

Doubt Pearson does it.

Only other person I could see is Evan Berry.

I'm not saying Pearson will return all of them, I think he'll be back there though since he has great speed and can make people miss. I think him and Wharton will split duties.
