'14 TN WR Josh Malone (UT commit 12/4/13)

Good point here. Perhaps we shouldn't read too much into the extended stay.

I mean he could still have chosen to go home. So he must be having a good time, which bodes well.

Also may be why he chose this weekend to take his official to UT, to spend more time. Not to see Georgia again as one poster on here seems to think is the case

As a Dawg fan I would tell him to look at the roster and injured players who will be coming back from serious knee injuries and know he could see playing time right away.

The days of 1 or 2 good WR's on a team in the SEC are gone. Like running backs you better have some depth at WR now.

Thank you very much. JK. I hate to see the injuries but it seemed so one sided. Could that be a result of one team being better conditioned than the other. Coach Jones busts these kids tails and they still love him. Its a big family and he is the Big Papa. I saw proud emotion in his post game interview. And because of that love this program has made vast improvements. Neal alone has made such improvements I see him as the next Pro the Vols will be proud of. Would you want to play for a team that is Rising to The Top or falling like flies. Butch Gets It. I hope Malone stays at Home and goes where his Mom and he knows best. Volnation.

He's visited Knoxville many more times than Athens. And that was UTs stadium yesterday, not Georgia's and that was Butch Jones he took a picture with yesterday, not Mark Richt. Just saying it cuts both ways and it seems UTs very much in this for Malone. I'll believe he's not a Vol if he commits elsewhere and not until then.

It does cut both ways. I'm just trying to bring a little reality to the situation.

If a kid was interested in UT and FLA, and OVed to other schools when UT was playing them, and also to FLA when we played them.....everyone on here would point that out (and rightfully so).

“Everything went real good this weekend[.] I feel real good about Tennessee right now. It was a real good visit, and I came away very impressed this weekend.”

“The passing game was much more improved from the beginning of the season and when I was watching in the spring,” he said. “That’s a much more improved passing game, and (junior quarterback Justin) Worley’s improving. The passing game’s probably going to just keep improving as the season goes on.”

“They just keep emphasizing that they really want me and that I’m really a need for them right now,” Malone said.

“We passed, like, the Vol Navy and passed Neyland Stadium, and then we turned back around and passed Neyland Stadium again,” Malone said. “That was a real good experience.”

As expected, he did not give anything away in the article, and he talke about UT, UGA, and Clemson. He thought it was good to see that the team kept fighting and it built confidence in the overall program.

Word has it Butch took him on a boat ride..

Reel'em in....

I just get the feeling that when it comes to decision time that the tight knit class we have coming in gives us the edge.

Has there been any quotes from Malone comparing the LSU/GA vs the TN/GA atmosphere???

We had a great atmosphere on Saturday but I doubt it was better than Athens last week.

I don't think UGA's injuries had anything to do with conditioning, given their nature. Knee ligament tears aren't typically fatigue related. UGA was just snakebit injury-wise on Saturday. I've never seen anything like that, frankly.

I hear what you are saying Bruin, but I will say this... I've been to stadiums everywhere and to UGA many times for big games.. There is NO PLACE LIKE NEYLAND when it is at full voice. And I haven't even been a Vol fan my whole life. I grew up primarily a Clemson fan during the years they were challenging for NCs. Neyland is incredible and the best of Sanford can't approach it.:peace2:

EDIT: BTW- I was at the game with my son Saturday and he is now a VFL:)

Not saying the Georgia game atmosphere was better but the complete day very likely was.

College game day on hand and then a last minute win is a hard combo to top

I think the injuries were part bad luck but a lot of us being way more physical than them.

The same guy I spoke to about Malone a week ago kind of changed his tune after this weekend.

It was the perfect time to wear the new uni's, have 100,000+ making it the loudest it's been in years, and Worley playing a very good game.
