There's an article on VQ "Camp Superlatives" where each writer gave out 3 awards and Paul gave one to Howard. Part of his breakdown sure makes it sound like Howard, Smith and North are the starters...

PAUL'S TAKE

MOST IMPROVED: Alton 'Pig' Howard, So., 5-8, 185, WR Howard actually had more rushing attempts than catches last season but he's now being asked to be the leader at the wide receiver position and he's stepped up to the challenge this fall.

WHAT HE'S DONE: He's taken advantage of a wide-open position battle at receiver. While other upperclassmen were passed by freshmen Marquez North and Josh Smith, Howard responded to the challenge and had one of the best fall camps of anyone on the team.

WHAT IT MEANS: With so much production lost from last season it's good for the Vols to have someone step up that's at least played receiver at the collegiate level, unlike so many to be in the rotation at receiver.

I wasn't really trying to start a controversy - just listening to Azzanni (2:50 mark) say that Josh hadn't held on to his spot. Didn't say he wouldn't start - just said he didn't have the spot as of 8/19/13.

You're right CZA did say that. My take from all this is that after Howard and North there's a handful of guys fighting for time and they'll all be playing quite a bit this fall.

I'm watching this at work and at the start where they are taking the buses to the camp I was sitting here thinking "those roads look familiar.." Turns out they are at Camp Nacome, it's about 5-10 miles from where I am right now.


I know, cool story bro.

Just watched Station Camp Hell Week on ESPN2. Josh played a starring role.... gonna look damn good in Orange and White and Smokey Gray!

Here is a trivia question for you hardcore recruitniks: Has there previously been a regular season matchup of two instate prospects, talking strictly within the context of Tennessee high school football, who are both ranked in the top 30 nationally? That is what we have the pleasure of seeing now, with Hurd at 21st and Malone at 30th on the Rivals Top 100 board.

I was very, very, very close to that last night actually :p

Yesterday had the highest of highs( took a solid 8/10 back to the apartment and "recalibrated") and lowest of lows( My female roommate's engagement appears to be over) so I was going big come nightfall, but exhaustion got the best of me sadly :cray:
