'14 TN WR Josh Malone (UT commit 12/4/13)

Josh has been very cautious with his recruitment and has been very tight lipped on which schools are peakin ghis interest the most.

Tonight and what fans saw of him, was the most emotional and involved that they have seen of Josh involving the Vols. Future Vols like TH Jr, came up to Josh to hug him and pitch him on the Vols. Josh was impressed with what he saw in Knoxville.

Let's hope that Josh wants to join the soon to be legendary class of 2014 recruits.

And in case you forgot. We recently found out that we have a much better chance than we thought and are waiting on his comments from practice. It's not like this is a dead thread.

So the way VQ worded their short quotes on Malone, sounds like he had a good visit. Big time that CBJ got him on campus with 39k for practice

Because Malone is so private about his recruitment and reading things from Buck, I'm only going to trust VQ and Buck with Malone info. He doesn't seem like the type of kid to just tell anybody what's going on with recruiting. Just the way I look at it

"It was a great night for the team; the atmosphere was great. Forty-thousand people for a practice isn't bad," said the 6-foot-3, 187-pounder. "It was great." "Honestly, I'm not surprised just because I know everybody is excited about Tennessee right now, and Tennessee has full momentum right now," Malone said.

"Really, just trying to build a stronger relationship. I like both (Jones and Thigpen). We've got a good connection," Malone explained. "I've talked to Coach Z (Zach Azzanni) and all them. Really, just trying to enjoy my time when I go up there."

"It was really kind of last-minute. I was talking to my ride (on Friday) and he said, 'I'm coming up to the scrimmage at Tennessee. Let me know if you want to go,' and I said, 'Yeah, let's go,'" Malone said. "I feel like early playing time is attainable here. Just got to see how the offense goes and see if I feel comfortable with the offense," Malone said.

While Malone hasn't set exactly which game he'll visit Tennessee, he does intend to return to see the Vols in action at home this season.

"I have not decided which game (for an official). I'm looking at South Carolina, Georgia or Vanderbilt," Malone said. "I haven't set the one with Georgia yet, but I plan to get them set soon."

Why don't you take your debate over to the SECR? Seriously, you guys need to get back to Malone itt...

We've already said everything there is to say now about Malone:

1. He's exceptional.
2. We want and need him.
3. He's got offers from everyone relevant.
4. He's decided to wait to commit.
5. He was on campus Saturday.
6. None of 1-4 has changed.
7. Anything else posted here about him is speculation.

So reading comments on volquest article two things are sticking out to me. First all the talk about him not wanting to compete with other competition and two the style of offense we are playing. So first off I think he is dang good enough to come in from day one and earn reps bit je did refernce that he thinks he can get early playing time. The second thing is what I am concerned about which is the fact that he "wants to see if he can fit in the offense". I am taking that as he is concerned that he may not like to play in a spread formation. What are everyone's thoughts we surely could use this guy opposite north

Your little list above is incorrect. Malone has been very quiet in this recruitment. He finally visits and provided some quotes to reporters. I can easily hit the ignore button. But not everyone will think to. We finally have concrete info on Malone, but it's spread out over 10 pages of a nonsense discussion. Do everyone else a favor please and move the discussion to any of the several other threads that it would be appropriate in!

Please try to stay on topic. There are plenty of other places to have that debate. Thanks. :hi:

Thanks for the cleanup.

Back on topic, who was Malone's ride he refers to? If it was another recruit, the answer could be very telling.
