“Vanderbilt’s a rising program,” Malone said. “They’re recruiting me well. It’s a program to look out for and right now they’re sitting well with me.”

“It’s nice because you actually know somebody in the class that’s coming in,” he said Kelly’s efforts with Tennessee. “It was interesting to se all those guys pull the trigger so early. I guess they really like what they saw up there and felt comfortable.”

“My decision won’t come anytime soon,” he said. “I’m probably going to do it when I’m ready and when I feel like it’s the right time.”

On ND:
“It’s a good school,” he said of the Irish. “It’s interesting to watch just to see how the offense goes because they’ve got the read option quarterback so it’s going to be a lot more running. So it’s going to be interesting to watch.”

On what he's looking for in terms of the team he commits to:
“I’m still looking for that passing offense because I really want to complete my goal and turn pro so I can’t block all four years so that’s the plan to get into a passing offense.”

“It’s what the offense is going to look like and how the depth chart looks like and really how the other players are.”

On USCe:
“It was a nice place,” he said. “I know Coach Spurrier throws the ball and they obviously are opening up because there are a lot of upperclassmen there so it’s going to be a chance to play so it’s going to be an interesting school to watch.”

I take that as ND is out and usce is moving up because of the style of offenses... That is if usce does actually throw the ball more now that lattimore is gone.. But they do have a young stud at rb in mike davis, so who knows?

Who knows AC, who knows.

Always thought definite Vol but all these young receivers we have now and coming in worries me. You can tell by the way he talks that he wants to come in and play, day 1.

He would here too IMO. We have nobody established yet in his role.

Croom and Malone on the outside. North in the slot/splitting some time out wide. Throw Jenkins, Pig, Wharton, Creamer, Lee, and maybe Booth or Kitt in there too!!??

"Man oh man! Watch OUT!!"

Did we lose Paul Harris or something? He's only like the other 6'4" WR we have on the roster. I know it's easy to over look these things.... :)

Based on our receivers production this spring (or lack thereof) I don't think Malone should be worried.

USCe has just about the same offense as ND

I think its more just because Spurrier is a great coach who plays to his strengths. Lattimore was a pretty big strength, but when Spurrier has the type of players to run his preferred schemes then he runs that spread it out, short passing attack offense.

He dominated at FL with that, but we haven't seen hardly any of it since he's been at SC.

Wonder if he has added any weight being he never really worked out in HS.

Have been wondering the same too. In all the pictures of him coming out of HS he looked skinnier than Hunter. But from every picture and video I've seen of him running around in practice, he actually looks like he has a pretty good frame on him.

Saw a lot of questions about Malone on TOS. He was not at the O&W game, and he was never scheduled to be there. He was at Notre Dame this weekend. I'm sure there will be an update on that visit before the COB on Monday.

Well that stinks that he wasn't here.
