Pretty sure Simmons is the main Southeast guy and not a team guy. He may know a decent amount about Vandy living in Nashville, but he really knows the SE well. One of the best in the business IMO.

Simmons is on radio here in Memphis during recruiting season and talks about all of the local teams.

"X" on basilio page,(yes I know there is mixed feelings on TB) says UT might not take booths commitment until they hear what Malone wants to do. Said same thing about Kitt but I find that hard to believe and don't believe Kitt will decide soon no matter what his twits say. But basically Malone is number one for Butch and their board, which is no surprise, Malone is going to be great.I do believe "X" thinks he is the best overall WR. So basically we won't take any WR until Malone lets us know something, and Lee who committed today won't affect that because he is a slot guy.

Well I would too, but he is saying if we take Booth in that teams will use that to their advantage to sway Malone away, as with Kitt too. So Butch would rather have Malone and hope the other two stay interested. Which I would absolutely love to have Kitt but I don't know if that will happen. And I've been saying for months that I want Booth, great player and he is Indy boy so I definitely would like to see him at UT. But I guess I would sacrifice that for the Tennessee boy and future stud Josh Malone

And of course, this is just a anonymous man ("X") opinion. My dad has read Tony B website for as long as I remember and he will text me a link when X has a new column out, my dad's opinion in X is a positive one. He says he has been on the money a lot but of course no always. Just like anybody else, you never know. But to me X seems to get some good info somewhere

A lot of people think that X had some serious connections during the Kiffin days, some have speculated that he may have even been a member of the staff. Since then though his info seems to be a bunch of stuff that can be found on here and other sites, leading to speculation that Basilio lost his insider and now either writes the column himself or just has some message board junkie like us do it. I enjoy reading it because of the synopses he gives of all our targets, but I don't put much stock at all in his opinions or predictions. Also, he loves to toot his own horn when he ends up being right about something but never acknowledges the many times he is wrong.

He was a member of the staff. The current X is either Basilio himself, or one of this talk show friends. He is definitely not connected for sure.

There is no way that the coaches tell Kitt no, if he wants to commit right now. He is a game changer at a position where we are very inexperienced right now. I believe the coaching staff would take Malone and Kitt together.

The point was scaring of Malone, that's the number one WR they want, meanin over Kitt. But I agree, no way you turn down either one, and I don't think I could tell Booth to hold off either

I don't care what it takes within the rules, we can't lose Malone. One, he's a stud WR. Two, he's instate.Imagine the implications it could have in the future for CBJ if he lands Hurd, TKJr, and Malone. Add Wilson and Barr and that's even better. That's state lockdown IMO.
