This kid will likely end up a 5star. A good 2012 on the field and the 2014 recruiting class will be top 5 in the nation.

It doe not hurt that Malone close to Vols walk-on Corey Alexander, whose dad has been a coach at Station Camp. Corey is a great influence.

This kid is the real deal. He is the most explosive WR to come out of this area and that includes names like Golden Tate and Thomas Woods.

I'm from the Gallatin area, so I'm pretty familiar with Station Camp. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Corey the son of former New York Giant's safety Brent Alexander?

He sure is.

Corey taught my son how to swim this summer. He is a fine young man with a bright future ahead of him.

Have you heard anything about him wanting a USCw offer?

Im hoping so too. I just spoke to someone who said he was wanting a USC offer. Didnt say he would accept just said he wanted it. I guess I would too.

Maybe he wants it to give Kiffin a big ole FU when he picks the Vols? That would be a fun scenario. Unfortunately, that is probably not the case.

WR JOSH MALONE, GALLATIN (TENN.) STATION CAMP:
The 6-foot-3, 186-pound wide receiver was one of the biggest names heading into camp and, though he was somewhat quiet during agility and position drills, he certainly shined during the one-on-one portion of the event. Malone uses his size to his advantage, shielding the defensive backs from the ball with his body. He also did a good job getting separation at the line of scrimmage on crossing routes and caught passes without breaking stride.

So will he be better than Patrick turner out of high school? More importantly will he spurn the home team for USC? Hope so to one and hope not to 2!

A poster on VQ also said that Station Camp QB Kyle Anderton will be at camp. He is another rising Junior and finished as the 5th best QB at the Rivals Underclassmen Challenge in Texas.

What did it say about O'Connor in that article? Since I got rid of my sub I can only see that he's mentioned, and since he lives in TN now, it wouldn't be bad to get on him in my opinion.

getting a tad bit tired of USC... it is like all Kiffy's tenure at UT did was land him his dream job and open up connections.

"I really didn't participate in the camp but I was taking mental reps from (Hinshaw) and just trying to learn as much as I could of what he was teaching out there today," Malone told VolQuest.com. "It's a good relationship (with both Hinshaw and primary recruiter Jay Graham). We have good conversations and talk about the school. See what the future is going to look like.

"It's a lot [talked about the upcoming in-state talent]; 2014 is a big class on talent, and they're trying to keep everybody at home. Trying not to let them leave the state. It's big."

Not a great night for Josh. Not all his fault though. The qb was pressured quite a bit and the coaches play calling is very suspect. Hendersonville rolled a safety to give the cb some help for the double coverage and Station Camp couldnt/wouldnt take advantage. Lots of confusion post huddle as I saw players pointing out where Josh needed to line up on several plays. He was the best player on the field last night and caught 1 ball for about 15 yards with about 3 tosses his way. He returned the opening kick off 17 or 18 yards and thats about it.. Oh, he also played safety, but Hendersonville only threw the ball about 3 times.

I left with 3 minutes to go when SC turned the ball over losing 17 to 9.
