Malone will be good for this class. Instate talent that is blowing up with offers the last few weeks. Like to see this guy commit to the orange soon

True dat this guy is a beast. Hubbs seems to think he may be the best in the state.

He has to have a QB who can get him the ball. He has not had one thus far. They have people who can do that at the camps.
I've seen several drops where the ball was adequate or on the money. Ive also seen some amazing catch and runs. Enough to know he's a stud wr.

Is he a ut fan??

Yes.

But to be clear, most of these kids will be making business decisions (ala Bell) - they can put aside their fandom and choose a school based on their long term goals - NFL/Championships/etc.

Sadly, just being a fan of UT and growing up liking the Vols isn't enough anymore.

Agreed. I just didn't know. Maybe we will be better than I expect and maybe he'll be a vol.

Kid loves the facilities and the idea of playing in front of the 100,000. He sees the advantage of playing for the school dubbed WRU, putting receivers in the league like nobodies business and the fact that we just signed one of the best QB classes in the country to throw to him for the next 3-4 years.

I would bet alot on this kid being a Vol.

The new facilities are changing that attitude and will add to the spectrum of recruiting.

I agree that it's overplayed the "lifelong UT fan" card, however you can't argue with the facilities and potential.

You can't speak for everyone. Wharton chose UT for the reasons you just said they wouldn't. Blanket statements rarely are true.

Facilities are nice to have but most of the great prospects care more about which coach can best prepare them for the NFL. Of course winning in college helps as well, something we obviously haven't done much of lately.

Well if there's any position where we have serious traction, it's WR

So business or no business decision. Vol

Not saying you're wrong, but I heard UF was leading as of a few weeks ago.

Did these guys tell you that?

If we can lock Malone down, I think that will really put some pressure on Hurd as well.. That the 2 Sumner boys could go to school together 2 1/2 hours away and be able to ride back home together and be just a few miles away.. 2 big time guys from the Hendersonville area both headin up to play for the Big Orange would be a big deal to that area.

This comment has a special place in my heart Commando lol. I went to and played for Beech my whole life until Coach Aric became the HC and started running a concentration camp and ran our program in the ground. It was then that I transferred to Station Camp and played for them. So glad I did, loved the coaches and met some good fam there. However, I transferred back to Beech after my senior season and graduated there. I went to Beech since kindergarten and it just felt right. I am soo proud to have these two playmakers from our area bro....

Nobody can sell going pro at WR like UT right now. We've got two first rounders, our third guy could go late. Plus Da'Rick Rogers can be claimed if/when he gets drafted. That's 4 in one draft. WRU is a understatement, it's the only statement. More first round WRs in one year than in Alabama's history. Think about it.
