And...Brent originally went to TSU on an ACADEMIC scholarship!!! Man knows the importance of a good education.
Brent is one smart guy. He is an algebra teacher at JP2. He got his degree in college and played for 12 years in the league. There is nobody better to prepare Josh and keep him open to his options.

Brent's son, Corey played football at UT and earned his degree from UTK and will attend law school. Like you said, he is teaching his family and friends what it takes to make it in the real world.

Guys on ESPNU coverage of the Opening just gave Malone some love--said he impressed more than any other receiver there!

Man I was watching video of him at the ucla camp on rivals looks similar to justin hunter in style
With hunter being a Titan in nashville how awesome would it be if he could reach out to this kid and get him on board

Kid should be a 5* IMO

Would not be surprised in the least if he ended up being one after consistently turning in dominant camp performances. He's got everything you look for in a #1 receiver--he's big, explosive, fast and creates separation, crisp in and out of his routes, has good hands, gets off jams well, and seems to have a good work ethic from everything I've read.

He needs to put on some weight and get stronger, and he doesn't high point the ball as well as you'd like to see someone his size do. But those are the only real weaknesses that I have noticed. He's got the potential to be a big time receiver. I hope Butch is spreading the peanut butter thick with this one.

So It looks like a Tennessee, Georgia, FSU are probably his top three schools

Here too, as I stated in KM's thread, an announcement during the US Army All-Star gm (and NSD only one month removed) would be good exposure, not to mention what it does for Signing Day momentum.

True, but that is a long arse wait. If he already wants to be part of this class, best to just get on board and keep this momentum rolling. In some ways, having that overall top class lends some credence to CBJ's pitch that this team is on it's way back to the top.

If we were stuck around 30 or so, that doesn't lend much confidence to a recruit that things are going to change for the better.

Is it just me or does anyone else think this kid posts some of the strangest crap on the twitter? Talking about getting a revolver tatted on his neck and smoking stinky weed. Crazy stuff for a recruit.

Why not both --- a Top (5 or 10) class as well as recruits announce during their All-Star gm? Win-win, esp if said recruit(s) are "silent" commits, takes the risk out, not the impact.
