This will now be my Boom gif when Josh commits to the Vols.

And if he doesn't...

Dear Ron Swanson,

You know how exasperated you get in the Berry threads when people constantly challenge that Evan and/or Elliott won't be Vols come NSD? Obviously they are locks, silents, whatever, but people just don't seem to accept it?

That is me, in this thread. I know it's tough to swallow, considering Josh has been so quiet in his recruitment process, and maybe even your boys Fortenberry or Hubbs don't seem certain, but I guarantee you all that Malone is a Vol on February 5th. Well, really in December, but you know what I mean. Don't worry about the particulars, because I'm not going to share how or why I am so confident, but accept it already!

Not doubting you know something but I would be careful in throwing out guarantees. See Vonn Bell thread

I appreciate the warning (or just suggestion, really), and I'm very familiar with the Vonn Bell thread. You're probably right, because crazy things DO happen with these kids through NSD; I probably should not have posted, to ensure that I don't get curbstopped if it doesn't pan out, but from everything I've been told, all roads lead to Knoxville and all orange signs point to Neyland.

I'll tack this little gem on here concerning this and my last post though, to play it safe:

*TIFWIW* :hi:

Edit: Also, my master plan to get Goonies pictures and gifs into this thread worked beautifully.

I thought this was gonna become a letter Sab would be proud of. So close.

I really don't want another marlon brown Patrick turner feeling. Although they didn't pan out so hot, I'd love to start locking down the state's top wr's here at WRU. Weird we aren't kicking them away

There is an article about Josh Malone's OSU visit, but to sum up everything he said:

I had a good visit, everyone is even

If the osu somehow pulls Malone I will probably throw up

I simply do not understand the allure of OSU for any kids outside of the Midwest. Ohio is a bleak place in the late fall and winter. OSU dominates an inferior conference and gets curb stomped in games against the SEC, etc. I understand CUM won championships at UF but he seems like a complete putz to me--telling recruits he dreamed about them, claiming to be a family man by resigning as UF coach only to take a job at OSU less than one year later (obviously, it was simply a pretext to get out of the mess UF was becoming under him) and thereby break the contract with his daughter that ESPN played up so much. To top it all off, the emphasis on "The" Ohio State University galls me. For whatever reason, when we lose a recruit to OSU--ex. Vonn Bell--it hurts so much worse than when the player goes to a SEC rival, Texas, USCw, Oregon, etc., because I can understand the choice to go elsewhere but not OSU.

Agreed. I absolutely freaking hate OSU, even more so since that pompous ass Meyer is there. I take solace in their record vs SEC teams though, but it doesn't dilute my hatred for them, their fans, their mascot, "O-H", and that stupid buckeye leaf logo thingamajig. Against the SEC, they're like the Buffalo Bills of the early 90's, tearing up the regular season, then losing what like 4 super bowls in a row? Haha.

What's interesting is how they weren't even in the game, and the Urban gets interested and Malone says they were always in the mix.

I really don't think he ends up here.
