Point is that why would they let borderline AQ caliber instate kids like Hawkins leave the state?

I don't know, honestly. I agree with you, I think they absolutely should have taken him if they could, but for some reason in-state recruiting just isn't really their thing.

Good to know there are so many posters on here from my small neck of the woods.

I only saw the kid play once and he was impressive, but against sub-subpar talent. Adamsville has benefited from the last class restructuring and downfall of the only other high school in the county to shift from a perennial loser to a sure bet to make the playoffs every year. I think he will do well in the OVC like a previous poster mentioned.

According to one Tiger site, he now has offers from Mississippi State and Eastern Illinois, and I guess Memphis is going to see him this week.
