I know very little about this guy, any info would be appreciate... like has UT offered a preferred walk-on status, etc. Word I got is Memphis offered preferred walk-on but I guess he likes Les but I don't know if they have been in touch with him.

I really like his film but might be capped on top end of speed department, I would definitely take a look at him if I were UT. Could be a case of the skin color effecting recruitment or attention, I don't know but he looks pretty good to me.

Thanks dad

I started an account 4 years ago on this board, acted like I am a LSU/SIU fan living in NC, for the hope one day my kid might one day play HS football in TN and I would have forum cred to promote him on the board, and instead of posting a thread on him during his junior year, I wait till less than two weeks before signing day.

I apparently am a better long term planner than Andy Dufresne in Shawshank.

Despite what appears to be a high motor and a "coach on the field mentality", this kid is white.... don't want 😊

Live in the area, seen him play on a few occasions. Don't get me wrong, the kid is good, but not SEC caliber. Imo.

Don't have a son....I do have two nieces in TN. but since they are only about 35-40 inches tall and still have all their baby teeth it might be another 13-14 years before I start promoting them under my great grand promotion scam in 2028. :)

Thanks for the insight. Yeah, it's real hard to tell with film alone. He really seems to know the game, I absolutely love the way he uses his blockers, he knows he is not going to out run everyone so he uses his blockers wisely.

For sure, he's very smart and is an excellent player. BUT, Adamsville is a 1A school, so it's really a kind of a big fish in a small pond kind of situation. Our area isn't really known as a place for great football talent so the competition isn't so great. Especially in recent years.

This is how you respond - Nice post.

I don't know much on the kid in the OP, but based on his offer list, and TN's full class, i'd sat TN was smart to pass.

Great competitor and very hard nosed player. I don't think he is SEC caliber talent but I had heard that Memphis was going to offer.

Yeah very hard when they play in a smaller division to see them vs. limited competition. They are talking about him on LSU board, one poster wrote this is how LSU got Steven Ridley, he was going to a small school in MS, Ole Miss did not offer a RB position, LSU did.

From what I gather on the LSU board it looks like the kid might have an Auburn preferred walk-on spot and Peyton Hillis has worked out with him and is trying to get him a spot at Arkansas.

True, I mean I'm not saying the kid couldnt turn out to be good, if he does more power to him. It's just hard like you said to judge kids against the competition they play and the kind they'll face. But yeah, Hillis actually came in as a coach at his high school while he was a FA.

Very true. Very hard. I am impressed by his film but that is why you have camps.

Jacob Hester was very similar, small school. Saban went up to recruit John Booty, and he was watching a practice and every play the lil guy was moving the whole pile around. Hester would have not been offered, but Saban just happened to catch a practice.

Hester still jokes that his teammates use to blame him for LSU not winning the #1 class because Hester was a 2-star if that. :eek:lol:

Exactly man, that's the thing. You just never know how these small school kids will pan out.

Whats the color of his skin got to do with it, is he white or black, and if he can play it does not make a damn if he is green to me.

Actually you sound like you have an eye for talent and brought it to the worst possible place, or you are a Serial Killer with the exact intellect that it would require. Andy Dufresne would be proud of either... Just sayin'
