I, personally, could give a DAMN what any recruiting site says about this kid. From watching his tape, this kid is gonna be a "GREAT" RB, if he doesnt grow out of the position. If he stays at 6'3 ish, he can be a dominate force in Butch's offense. If the oline keeps progressing, it could me MAGICAL.

So, to everyone who cares about rankings, throw that stuff out the window, because this kid BLEEDS ORANGE and will give his all for TENNESSEE.

To me its more of me wanting Hurd to be recognized for his accomplishments and talent. Being a 5 star is a big deal to these kids, and is another accomplishment that they can add to their "trophy case". I know that an extra star isn't going to make Jalen a better player, but I feel as though he deserves this accomplishment, and it is irritating the rationale that Rivals has used to dictate why he hasn't been recognized as a 5 star.

Basically it says "The Hurds didn't pay us a bunch of money to attend our camps so we are going to withhold his 5th* until we get out money".

Exactly...give me your money, and I'll add some points to your "evaluation." Since when do you have to see a player in person to evaluate him? I understand that it would be more ideal, but as all of you are saying, it's not hard to see Jalen's talent pop out in his highlights. With that said, screw those sites. No rating with make me happier than I already am having Mr. Hurd as a VFL!!! GBO!!:rock2:

Stars don't win championships. Players busting their tails do. I expect Hurd to prove them wrong and make them look like political hacks.

This class has a ton of talent, but what separates them from other classes dramatically is their character.. They're gonna work as hard as it takes to be the best, and the chemistry is already there.. That's amazing.

Five-Star TN RB Jalen Hurd. He is a real player given his size at 6'3, 230 pounds and his ability to get good pad-leverage. He certainly is a beast-mode candidate. He is a guy that can quickly accumulate large chunks of rushing yards against a defense.

Posted this on another thread where a supposed Vol fan called Jalen "lanky". This is from a scrimmage a week ago. He was bigger than every player on the field (including the linemen). At almost 6'4, he looked like a monster.

Yeah well I agree with the poster who said he won't mow people over because anybody who sees that coming at them with 4.4 speed will just get the hell out of the way.

He carries his weight where most great backs do.In the lower half.Believe it or not I think he could still carry 5 to 10 more up top and probley not lose any speed.
