It's good to be in the know, but as a parent of a player and you're NOT FAMILY, be cautious of the information you're reporting on ALL boards, not just Volnation. You will come under unneccesary attacks and people will look to you for information that is REALLY NOT your place to report.

My other suggestion would be for you to clear it with the family about what you're posting on these boards about their kid. because you have a relationship with the family doesn't make you privy to report it. I personally would be pissed.

Now if you're coming here just find about how receptive we are about the recruit, then thats cool.. but don't blast the kids decision. You could very well become the reason he could sway to or away from becoming a VFL. Please keep that in mind when you're posting.

Nobody really cares who you are... they only want to know what you know.. and since you're NOT FAMILY.... its not even your place to be here reporting it.

As I already said, he has made his decision but he is telling no one. Thus, I am not going to go out on a limb like 74 and say Vols because I simply do not know. Hoping though....

How is posting something on a message board going to affect a player's decision about a program. Something so trivial shouldn't come even remotely close to affecting a player's decision.

I don't get why recruiting has to be such a big secret to some. This isn't really a big deal, and there are far more things to be worried about than info about a recruitment leaking out for some message board to see.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to know this... How many times have you been through the recruiting process within the last 5-7 years? Includes you, any kids you may have had, or friends who had kids recruited.

If none, then your opinion is baseless. Just because you don't see it as logic doesn't mean it does not happen.

Thanks Butchna. Just read a little on there. Arrogant arses that bunch. After reading about JH on there I want him to commit to us just to piss them off as much as I want him to commit to us so he can help us win. Is that wrong? Anywho, thanks for the info.

Just because Vol74 said he wasn't family doesn't mean it's true. Maybe he wants to wait until Hurd announces UT before he reveals him/her self, just like Mzterry did.

All I know is that he called TKjr picking UT 15 minutes before it happened. And up until that point he had only posted recruiting info on Hurd. If he says, "be ready for an exciting Thursday for Volnation." I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty excited right now and expecting Hurd to pick UT today.

If he had already informed the coaches (like many 'insiders' have hinted over the last week) it would be smart to announce today. That way the buzz is even more insane this weekend when all of these elite recruits are on campus. TKjr and Hurd will be able to recruit all weekend, could land us a few more elite recruits.

This is me the rest of the day...

I ain't tryin to be a buzzkill but he coulda just been talking about the 1st practice with pads on today and our BBall VOLS are playin there 1st Tourney game today to!! So it's gonna be a exciting Thursday in Volnation!! But I really really hope we get a commitment today!!!!

Wow boys, I'm telling you-- UT is on their way back. Holy crap this is the beginning of something big. Most excited I've been about UT football in a long time!! BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!! Welcome to Rocky Top Mr. Hurd!!!
