If he is itching to commit, I think he may just want to meet CRG and get to know his new RB coach before he pulls the trigger. JMO

We need to get Hurd in the fold ASAP. Then he can go to work on Josh Malone. Then the coaches need to put the full court press on the Norcross boys. I think if we can get one of them to pull the trigger early, then all the dominoes will start to fall into place.

Vol74 called TKjr's commitment 15 minutes before it happened. If he says Hurd's itching to commit, I'm going to believe him. Hope he scratches that itch this weekend on his visit.

I hear ya Ron. But I'm just not sure why he would commit so early. I hope he commits five minutes ago, it's just odd for a kid of his magnitude to pull the trigger this quick IMO. As for Vol74...I hope he realizes as soon as he's wrong about something the backlash will be severe. Those praising him will turn quick. I'm just gonna lay low and see what happens.

Forget the backlash. I believe Vol74 is legit. I get a lot of JH info from the BHS side of things and there has only been one thing I have seen him post that I thought was wrong and it could've been a easy mixup. Just remember "itching" doesn't mean that it will happen....yet. Just keep your fingers crossed!:crossfingers:

I could see it happening if he gets the same feeling TKJr did when he gets to see the new look vols next weekend. My son goes to Beech and this kid had so much hoopla surrounding him last year. I mean reporters at the school like everyday. If he loves what he's seeing, he may just want to get the process over with and focus on his senior year and help recruit other other elite prospects. I think these kids see an opportunity to be responsible for the vols resurgence back to greatness.

Vol74 isn't your standard "insider" guy on here, he's close to Hurd. Up until yesterday I don't think he's posted about any other recruit but Hurd. And since Hurd and TKjr have become close it makes sense that he would hear solid info about TKjr.

I understand your apprehension and you're right, it would be odd for Hurd to commit this early but up until last night we thought the same about TKjr.

I'm rolling with Vol74 on Hurd info from now on. Scratch that itch, Jalen!

I feel the same way. He could be wrong, but I feel that he is right from what I know.

While I certainly would be ecstatic to see an early commit from Hurd, I thought I read somewhere that he likes the staff but wants to see improvement on the field. Not sure if it was an article or from a poster that is in the know? Does anyone else recall this?

I think people are misunderstanding my take on Vol74 and his info. I'm not questioning him at all.

My OPINION is based more off of what the norm in recruiting. But that's just me living by the rule- top 20 player waiting to commit...rather than the exception- TK2. I've just tried to temper my expectations.

Therefore if he commits soon, I'll be tickled pink. But if he waits until NSD and commits..., I'll be fine.

Roll out the orange carpet ladies and gentlemen, because if this young man hops on board early it could be a class for the ages!
