The problem that I see is that we have no drive on recruiting younger athletes. I read today where a poster said it is "waaaaay too early to worry about Hurd". Really? Don't take the drive and initiative now, while he's establishing great relationships with other programs? Its just not smart to me. I've read where several other local die-hard UT 2014's have turned their interests elsewhere too. I realize Dooley "has" to win this year, but he's setting himself up for failure if he doesn't take a different approach to recruiting for the future.

Whoa that hoss,
Did CDD give up when CP was all dawg? Or Da'Rick for that matter? Tiny was going to bama. So was James Stone...was it over when the germans bombed Pearl Harbor? NO! And neither is CDD already giving up on any '13, '14, or even '15 recruit yet. Just cause VN posters say too early to worry about a recruit's top three does not mean CDD is bailing. Lots can happen. Heck, all aubie dt Dee Liner is coming on a visit, him will get max flip press from UT coaches. Until LOI is received at a school, the battle continues for'13 recruits!

Hahaha, I am pretty sure that the Germans didn't bomb Pearl Harbor as I am pretty sure Dooley needs to step up the recruitment. Once a recruit already has a bad experience, it is hard to sway them back. Too many good programs out there.

The Germans thing was a Animal House reference...the recruiting thing is, well. I mean, we're in a hell of a lot better place than this time last year, and we have the potential to have a more attractive season to recruits. I'm not worried. Dooley will close, or he'll be gone and I'll wish I could still say, "At least we've got the Lady Vols." Hahaha.

Sorry, assumed you were a Vol from circa '74. John Belushi "Animal House" quote... Basically means no matter what it is not over til WE say its over! Classic :)

Not shocking to me at all. Alabama is on top of the college football world and Nick Saban is an elite recruiter.

Ohio State now has Urban Meyer who has a couple national titles and is an elite recruiter.

Vandy is an in-state school and as much as I hate to say it James Franklin is one hell of a recruiter and salesman. By Vandy standards nobody has ever recruited the kind of talent he has in his first year and half on the job. It's scary to think what that guy could do at a big-time program.

He said they are the three schools recruiting him the hardest

Posted a 4.37 - 40 time today at the Southern Elite Combine in MS. Combine King award also.

Supposedly a "UT fan" that doesn't have UT in his top 4. Hmmmm

Bama leads

In before TW shows up and ends his post with FWIW and :)
