All-purpose back
South Pittsburgh, TN
South Pittsburgh
Ht:5'11
Wt:170 lbs
40:4.55 secs
Class:2014 (High School)

I know he plays very weak competition, but has put up huge numbers through 6 wks this season. He has went to the NUC camp and summer camps at Bama.

Lankford was the top RB at the Skills Challenge during the All World Gridiron Classic Game.

Any time you do something Eddie Moore never did at SP its a big deal around here.

He was number 6, didn't play much last year.... But the back they had last yr (Raquis Hale) set the school record with around 2,200 yards and Jajuan is on pace right now for over 2,300...

South Pittsburg is a 1A MONSTER. Dont laugh, they have 430 kids 7th - 12th grade. For as small of a school they constantly are ranked in the top 2 in the state. They got beat by Signal pretty good, but signal has almost 2000 kids too. Back in the day the pirates beat the good private schools too, DCA, BGA, Boyd, University School of Jackson. I remember when Trousdale Co. muddied up the field to stop the speed of South Pitt, back several years ago, when they played the in the playoffs. The damn field looked like a Mud Pit and it hadnt rained in 3 weeks. The pirates had one of the best teams in TN HISTORY in 2001, Avg, almost 56 points a game and DESTROYED Moore county in the state game. Produced a Great TN LB as well in Eddie Moore. Have had several D1 prospects in the past, but criminal Activity got the best of them. Since Vic Grider has installed the spread, the pirates use their speed alot better than when they ran they ran the Veer. ANY team in 1A does NOT want to play the pirates this year. Pirates are STATE bound again this year.

South Pittsburg is truly amazing considering the fact that it is a small town of 3,200 located on the banks of the Tennessee river . Around here it's Big Orange, the Little Orange(SP Pirates colors orange &black), cast iron skillets, and fireworks (local products). Winners of six class A championships. The Pirates visit Knox Grace Oct 28th, check 'em out! BTW we have a hard time scheduling teams in our class. Out of six games we have played two teams in our class. Next up , 6A Franklin Co. GBO & LO !

Nice... will be good to see what he looks like against good competition.... I used to keep up with Boyd cuz me and Matt Peardon grew up together but I haven't followed them that closely since he left and Marion went to 1-A

SP is not as good this year as they usually are. Jajaun is putting up huge numbers, and he has been carrying the offense with a lot of older players out because of injuries. I think that by the time he is a senior he will be a top prospect in TN. He is just a young guy now, but impressive to say the least. He has played weak competition so far, but the schedule gets tougher starting with a 6A school this weekend.

Jajuan is as tough as they come, never goes down on the first hit, has a ton of speed and great vision. Will be one of the best to play at SP, and thats saying alot. this SP team has been plagued by injuries and a couple players that got into mischief and have missed games, but when everyone is on the field, this is a great team.

Lankford had 2 kickoffs returned for touchdowns against Signal, and two more that almost went the distance, own player ran into him and kicker tripped him up. Kid has great vision and speed.

Peardon was a beast. I remember going up to CAK for the '03 state semifinals in 15 degree weather and he ran for 330 yards.

I like seeing kids from small schools do good.I would hate to know the number of kids that dont get a chance that are from a small schools.I would say some could of been good college football players.

Yea he was a great high school back... wished he could have been doing that for Marion County....

Then why did he not see his own player and did the kicker have 4.5 forty speed.

You must not have watched too many kickoffs and seen how many times that happens. He had 366 yards and 6 TD against Whitwell on 28 carries and 257 yards against Marion on 19 carries. Overall numbers would be better but he is sharing time with Demetric Johnson who is also an exceptional runner. S.Pitt is loaded again to win the 1A championship

They will win it easily, nothing out of the west this year. I would say if he is the real deal he will end up at a sun belt sized school like that other running back yall had did. Not saying he won't be talented enough to get better offers just the exposure he will get. Maybe I'll be wrong, best of luck to him.

Yea that's true with the competition he plays and being from a smaller school the best way for him to get noticed is attending as many camps as he can in the summer and he may impress and get an offer (ala Khalid Henderson)
