'14 TN QB Will Bradshaw

I'm not trying to start any kind of controversy but was told by one of his h.s. coaches that Will is working at the long snapper position. He also snapped for his h.s. team last year. Just passing along info I was told today.

Interesting. My guess is if he progresses well and shows a lot of promise, then the coaches will either greyshirt Lovingood or offer him a preferred walk on spot.

Will is on campus and working hard.

He is a QB in the works, but is currently the #2 Long snapper. Not sure if there is another skinny 6'5" long snapper in the country, but Will is VERY happy to be on the squad....whether he is throwing spirals over his head or under his legs!!

Wonder if he will progress to the point we don't need a commitment from the LS we have right now. Though he is the number one LS in the country

Hmm...that is an excellent question. When it starts getting closer to NSD this year, we will find out real quick. I'm sure that's something that will be in the back of Butch's mind. I could potentially see us getting away from Lovingood if Will masters what's needed of him to be a good long snapper. That would free up another scholarship for someone Butch wants to take, but doesn't have room for.

But wouldn't he then need to put a walk on on scholarship? It is still using a scholarship just not on Lovinggood.

A great long snapper is worth his weight in gold. Fans take the position for granted, but there is a huge talent gap between a good long snapper and a very good long snapper. Loving good will be coming to UT as part of the 2015 class.
