'14 TN QB Luke Ward

Per 247, Ward said he had a really good time at our camp last week. He grew up a huge Tennessee fan & has always dreamed about playing in Neyland Stadium & wearing the T on his helmet. He said if Tennessee offered it would mean the world to him. Chaney told him to work on a few mechanic things but that they were very interested in him.

I feel like I've seen this movie before.

I found a little film of him on HUDL, he does have a little weird of a release. I can see why Chaney told him to work on his mechanics.

He has very little talent around him but has some potential. It's gonna be interesting to see how this plays out

I'm also pretty sure that I read somewhere that his family are big Tennessee fans..........but we know how that usually works out for us. SMH.

I went to high school and played football with his dad and they are huge VOL fans. He has the tools and size to be a good QB. With some good coaching, he could be possibly a really good QB. As some of the posters have stated, he does not have much talent around him. It will be interesting to see how he does in the camps. I know he's been to Peyton's camp a few times. I would love to see him make it to the Hill.

VFL GBO!!!

seen him play a couple of times. he's big and athletic and has a big time arm. has ZERO talent around him. his best receiver would be a backup offensive lineman on most teams.

it also looks like he struggles with accuracy. but yeah I agree with above if he gets an offer it will be on camp performance. the raw tools are there

His team lost 41-28 tonight to Waverly Central, threw 4 or 5 INT's BUT this is going to be a guy you have to judge off of camps. There just isn't much there for him, but he definitely looks the part. Has a good build to him.

He really enjoyed his visit to the UT vs. UF game. That was his third time on campus is recent months since he attended camp in June and a spring practice in April. On his experience during the game:

I knew the atmosphere would be great, but the atmosphere was just absolutely ridiculous,” he said. “There’s nothing like it. There’s nothing that’s even close to topping that. The atmosphere was great — crazy. I mean, I knew from before that it’s the best atmosphere in football, but Saturday was crazy. It was amazing.

“I enjoyed every second of it.”

He got to talk to CJC while on his visit. He said he grew up a UT fan and will always hold a place in his heart for the Vols, but when it comes to recruiting, he is interested in anyone who is interested in him. Those interested teams are Louisville, Duke, Cincinatti, Ole Miss, and Miss. St. He's receiving mail from FSU, NCST, and BC. He's going to try to visit Cincy, Duke, and Ole Miss at some point this season. He also said he would try to make it back to Rocky Top.

If we offer he's ours.

I'm sure there are going to be QBs we rank higher in the 2014 class, which sucks because this kid isn't bad at all. I just really don't see us having that many schollied QBs on the roster, implying we took two in 2014.

I'm going to reserve comments on QBs though, look what happened to Eddie Printz. People's mouths were watering over him at this point last year.

Yeah who knows if he'll be a take or not..but I guarantee if he has a commitable offer, he'll be part of our class in '14.
