14 TN LB Petera Wilson

All I know is Jarvis Jones doesn't run a 40 much better then Wilson, but would you pass on him? I promise about 10 NFL teams that needed a LB will kick themselves in 3 years for passing on him. AJ for us is the same way. Mock my words, when AJ goes through the NFL combine everyone will say pass because of his 40 time. Some guys are incredible athletes and some guys are just natural football players. AJ and Jarvis Jones are natural football players and maybe Petera Wilson is too.

I'll take that bet on Jarvis Jones....undersized and slow, and not physical enough to play with the big dogs....BUST in NFL....:salute:

6'2" 245lbs ... undersized? He's ideal size for an NFL OLB.

He is slower than desired but I don't think that will affect his production. I expect a breakout year for Jones in Pittsburgh. Tje only that will stop him is injuries. Speed and size are not a problem.

Battle of the MIKES:popcorn:

I think it's the same guy, even use the same number. Multiple personalities. He can't decide if Jarvis gets it or gets hit across the middle

He's got more posts than me but I've been posting longer. Does that mean I'm Mike Senior?

Close to home and school is completely paid for? Some kids born in Memphis have a sense of loyalty to the city I would imagine.

Make no mistake, if he were a take for the Vols, ole miss, lsu, or any other big time school, I think he would be taking it. His lack of speed and being able to cover from the LB position seems to have done him in. Solid pick up for memphis though. I bet their board is going nuts. "Look at all those offers, and we stole him"!!:p

More so than any other city I've ever seen. It's been 15+ years, but when I lived west Tennessee, the only people who liked anything about Memphis were those from Memphis and they were passionate about it.

And there were also a bunch of Bama fans there at that time as well. Nashville has replicated that well in recent years.
