'14 TN DT/OL Bruno Reagan

I think he will come to camp, but he has a bunch of schools wanting him to come to camp. The only way I could see him not coming is if he got several more offers and went to their camp. He will make the final decision. Not mom, dad or coach. Very mature young man, his life and his decision.

I really hope he does come to Tennessee's camp. We all want him here and the coaches have said before that they like to offer the Tennessee boys in person. They like to make it a special thing for them. Is Tennessee the school he wants to go to? Tell Bruno we are all rooting for him on Volnation and want him to be a Vol!

So he feels slighted because UT hasn't offered yet and if he gets a few offers between now and next month he might skip the UT camp and go elsewhere? Did Bruno grow up a UT fan?

I took it as he would camp elsewhere if he had solid offers vs camping where they haven't offered.

We are going to land a lot of Tennessee prospects this year. We are also going to land some of the top prospects from all over the nation. In the process, a few marginal prospects, who would love to play for Tennessee, are going to be left out of the mix.

True, but Reagan's not a marginal prospect. I think he's a kid w/ 4-star talent who's just now coming into his own.

Not meant that way. If you have 4 or 5 schools you would like to go to have offered, it would be in your best interest to go and work the staff. Give the athlete the chance to evaluate the coach. I am sure he feels slighted. This is a kid that has been on top all his life and has great success at camps against kids who have offers from top schools. At the same time I know he want let emotion effect his decision; he has been trained as a fighter all his life. Emotion just gets in the way of greatness.

Hopefully he shows up at UT's camp and shows his stuff. If he dominates there I'm sure he'll be offered. Maybe his feelings of being slighted will develop a nice chip on his shoulder and he'll want to prove people wrong. Players always seem to play better with a chip on their shoulder. Thanks for the responses and keep us updated. :hi:

Worst marketing strategy ever IMO.

I would disagree. If he has standing offers from other schools it would make sense to attend their camp vs going to a camp in HOPE of getting an offer. Especially if time only allows him to attend so many camps.

Worst thing he could do is not go to a camp where he has an offer, come to UTs camp and not get an offer and then his spot at the other school is taken by a kid who attended their camp and they liked. I don't think the kid is a die hard UT fan. I think he likes Tennessee, but will not risk losing a sure scholarship somewhere else jumping through hoops for the possible VOL offer.

A lot of the top players go to camps to get offers from schools they really want an offer from. Some schools just like to see them. He shouldn't feel slighted. I really do think Tennessee wants to offer him when he comes to camp (the personal touch). It is a decision Bruno will not regret. He will feel like family and build strong relationships that will last a lifetime!

I will respectfully disagree considering his offers are from USF and WKU. Going to camp there to solidify an offer instead of going to schools like Tennessee, Vandy, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, etc would be a huge mistake for him.

JMO though

Couldn't agree more. Especially if he has similar level offers this summer around camp time. No sense in not going to Tennessee and showing out and getting that offer, which a lot of people on here fully believes he is capable of doing. Best of luck to Bruno and I truly hope this guy is in orange and white one day. :rock2:

Original post referred to attending camp at other sec schools if offered there before UT camp. Makes sense to experience potential coaches.

Not to be "that guy" but this is a dead period for offensive lineman. Not meaning no contact with the coaches, but very few OL/DL offers are flying out right now. Either it's already happened or it will at camp/senior season. I think Bruno will get an SEC offer, but I highly doubt it comes before a camp. If it does I guarantee it will be one of the lower-tier SEC programs.

In no way is this hating on Bruno either, I like him as a DT and hope he earns his offer from us.

JMO, but I think with a Judo background, he would be better served on the O-line in which the objective is more about engaging as opposed to shedding blocks.

Not sure. He looked unreal in his scrimmage yesterday so he may wait to see what the reaction is from schools that have been recruiting him. Only he knows what his decision will be. Played both tackle and center on the O line and defense tackle on D. On here I have always talked about how good of an athlete he was, and what a good upside he had. After watching him yesterday I know he can play for anyone. Did everything you want out of a lineman. I think they were a reason UT show up today and other SEC schools have scheduled to come next week. This kid will play early for someone.

On what side of the ball do you think he will play in college?

He should play O-line. O-line is a one on one fight. He has been doing it all his life. He can snap the ball and seal the 2 technique. Very few have the ability to pull that off. At tackle you could hear him making the adjustments for the O line yesterday. Has a very good understanding the game. Looks like he has taken the mental part of training as an Olympic level athlete to football. Such a good kid but plays so nasty.
