This. It got little coverage for two reasons IMO...
1) Vandy alums were heavily involved in the case. Prosecutors, Judges, etc... None of them probably had a desire to expose and make their alma mater look bad.
and
2) ESPN is like the national enquirer, they only care about shock value and ratings. Since Vandy isn't big-time and exposing them wont bring them more ratings and attention they conveniently chose to pretty much ignore the story. If it were a big name program where this had happened no doubt ESPN and the entire media would have camped out, probably hired their own legal team to try the case on their own and would still be talking about it every 5 minutes.
Agreed. They are waiting to pounce if he takes a high profile job.
