Your fan base, Candybilt, does look and act like idiots.
The Candy football players still attend classes at Peabody so don't talk about how tough the classes are. You are a Candy troll so go back to your board and leave the real Vol fans alone.

I am a "Candy troll" just because I don't scream falsities at the top of my lungs??? Or is it because I show some respect for opponents and/or for facts?? I have never really had any use, in any aspect of my life, for blowhards willing to publish falsities in order to further their own cause. I consider it a compliment that you consider me a troll.

btw, Peabody must not be as bad as you seem to think it; the following was pulled fron US News & World Report:

Vanderbilt Peabody College of education and human development maintained its No. 1 national ranking in U.S. News & World Report for the fourth consecutive year.

Peabody has topped the rankings, selected through expert opinions and statistical indicators, since 2009.

My daughter will attend UT this fall. At orientation we were told that this was the highest rated freshman class in UT history. Average class GPA of 3.75 and an average ACT of 27. Of 14,000 applicants only a little over 4000 were admitted. Over 1400 applicants had a GPA of 4.0 or higher and an ACT of 30 or higher, vying for only 60 full ride scholarships.

Wow. Yeah that sounds about right. Congratulations to your daughter. It's no small accomplishment to get into UT now.

Thank you for admitting that you're a Candy troll. No self-respecting Tennessee fan would have the volumes of literature on Candy and Peabody like you do. I'm quite sure that you could write a 200 page report on how wonderful Candypeabody is. Go back to Franklin, he is probably missing you.

Yet you come to VolNation spewing rumors about CP. Give it up a&&hat.

Thanks! I'm very proud of her. She turned down a full ride at Maryville college to attend UT on about a 50% scholarship.

If she is going into liberal arts than Maryville is a better option in my opinion. Congrats to her though. I start grad school at UT in August

We aren't better Vol fans when we fabricate and repeat false "information" - we just make our fan base look like idiots. Just because we both cheer for the Orange and White

just who is this "we" you keep mentioning? The vandy act is tired. Please discuss the recruit or just move on

You might as well give it up, they're all convinced and nothing you say, no matter how much it makes sense, will change their minds.

For the record we were given almost the exact same statistics at my orientation last summer. You may be getting a little parenting got sauce sprinkled on you

Yes- It is now much easier for players to get into Candy than Tennessee....I also understand that most Candy athletes actually attend Peabody & some take remedial classes at TSU..... Franklin lies about academics to make them look good & most Tennessee players are better academically than Candy's.....CBJ is going to put them in there place soon and all will be right in the world.....

This is so far from fact.

No VUFB player takes classes at TSU. Vol fans love to spew this "easier to get into Vandy than Tenn now" yet I've seen no factual data to back up this claim.

Oh, and Peabody is the also the top ranked school of education in the country.

I saw that article and that's flat out laughable and you know it. To say they are ahead of a schools like Harvard, Yale, Princton, Columbia, etc, etc, etc is a F'n joke.

So do they teach different math, English, history etc. at Vandy than they do at UT?

1st 2 years are all prerequisite classes everyone everywhere has to take. Doubt it's that much different regardless of where you go for most undergrad majors. Now post grad is a different story

Not necessarily. VU makes their own curriculum. It's why many courses, when taken at other institutions, don't transfer.

What the VU student posting in here is true. VU athletes are given a plethora of resources from tutors to study hall to succeed. There is no such thing as a "class for athletes."

The schools you listed are all higher ranked universities as a whole.

Vanderbilt has the top ranked school of education, not university. What is laughable about that statement?

No she's going into the college of business. Probably a new degree called business analytics. It's ideal for students with a heavy math background which she has.

Wow a 50% scholarship is pretty damn good as it is. That'll save you some money for sure. Best of luck to you and her.

:salute:

Yes it will cover all her tuition but I'll have to foot the bill for her room and board. She could commute as we are only 20 min from campus but I wanted her to live on campus.
