A few days ago there was an exchange on the RF about looking in a persons eyes and telling a lot about them.
In looking at some of the new signees I think that Picou, Stewart, Taylor, Butcher, Griffin, Kirkland and Phillips all have that look in their eyes that they are going to destroy anyone that gets in their way. Have you been around any of them and what do you think?

Well I'm gonna start wearing pants that miss the floor by 6 to 8 inches cause I must officially be old. Never heard it called the devil's lettuce before and I used to work in the anti-drug field. Where do I pick up my AARP card?

While I'm not sure if this is entirely true or not, I do know that I met Mike at a party last summer and was not particularly impressed by his attitude.

I knew this had been a possibility for a while now but I thought he had turned the corner. This is disappointing news. Mike had the potential to be a very good tackle had he been willing to put in the work. He made the all-state team his senior year playing through a broken bone in his foot (IIRC).

He had the God given ability to be a very good player at UT, but I from reports I've read, and what people close to the program have said wasn't willing to put in the work off of the field. At least we have brought in some great young talent at the positions but this news is disappointing nonetheless.

So crazy. If the kids would have had a great attitude, worked his assistant off, and stayed out of trouble he'd have gotten a ton of playing time at a premium school in the sec and had a great chance at getting drafted. As much other talent as we have elsewhere on the defensive line would have only helped him. It's always sad to see kids with so much piss it all away. Wharton is the exact same.

If that is in fact part of what took place, I don't mind it being out there. When a kid is dismissed, I don't mind kowing why. Butch did dismiss him. If accurate info, Butch/UT obviously did the right thing. It's on the kid, not Tennessee.

Now IF 80 percent of the players fall into the same category, Butch may want to reconsider the current recruiting profile. Jmo

I highly doubt 80% of the football team is getting barred out on the regular.

Good thing we signed a great DL class this year because everyone but Barnett is gone from last years DL haul. All those guys had potential. Especially sawyer and Hendrix. To bad. Next man up!

Still so stupid that hendrix left. He would be the next man in line after Maggitt leaves.

mixon, owen williams, barnett, charles mosely who may end up back on the DL since he is now listed as DL only on the roster. Mixon is actually a pretty solid player. he got after it in the bowl game and a ton of schools wanted him out of high school. You replaced Henderson with Darrel Taylor and the other DEs/OLBs you brought in. Theres actually alot of athletic bodies on that DL right now and alot of guys are young/developing. sucks that hendrix left but honestly i wasnt expecting much from sawyers. Saulsberry is still on roster and hopefully he can give a few snaps. The staff loves vickers and he is just developing. Hes a RS Soph. Everything is about development in the trenches. Doesnt have as much to do with stars by your name like the skill spots. BTW if theres anyone on our staff that can develop players its steve stripling by a long shot.

Was actually more than 2 but yeah this was the case. The 2 were since he was suspended and fulfilled his obligations to get back from failing the previous tests he failed.
